then you dont read all the threads...go to the archives and find the ones about the white kids who buried the elderly couple alive...you will not find kind words there...we all suggested they bury everyone of them alive immediately....when you pick and choose the threads you read that involve racial comments, then you will not get the entire picture. do some digging before you type something ignorant.

Houndog, I see what is going on. I don't like the crime anymore than you do and being black myself, I really hate it when it is a black committing the crime. However, we have to get off this race issue when it comes to crimes. The reason we can't get anything solve is because of people like you. We all need to come together to stop all crime and stop just looking at the race of the person committing it. I don't blame the white man for anything, because he can't keep me down. I put the blame where it lies, on the individual that is committing the crime. Whenever a black commits a crime, whites on this forum tends to crucify that person and when it is the other way around, I notice that I don't see a lot of blacks on here that takes that same approach. There are some with the same mentality as you. There is not one single crime that has been committed by a black that has not been committed by a white. Stop the hatred and let us all come together with all the youth of all races and deal with the problems. Oh, by the way, if you would take your blinders off you would see that there are just as many white youth with their pants down now as there are blacks. Is this all just poor parenting?

A) I didn't say YOU were ignorant. I said that was an ignorant statment.
B) Saggy pants and loud rap music doesn't equal a thug. I have seen young white kids in Ponte Vedra doing the same thing.
C) I don't like seeing anyones boxers anymore than you do, but that does not make them a thug. It makes them a follower of a very bad trend.

I have a question for you. Why is it a black male murder suspect the majority of time? Why do they commit so many murders in this city? I always hear there are white thugs also. Why aren't they commiting the murders in this city if there are so many of them?

Are we going to blame it on poverty? There aren't whites living in poverty in this city? Why aren't they commiting a lot of murders. No, it's normally a black male.

I have no answers to why black males commit the majority of murders in this city but none the less it is a fact. It is not racism to point this out. The reason you see such anger coming from white posters is because we are tired of your murdering black males ruining this city.

Goldsky, I don't know why the black males are committing the crimes that they are and as far as I am concerned, there is no valid reason. Poverty or no poverty, that does not give them the right to take the lives of others. As a black mother that has raised a black male, I had problems with him. I raised him in a loving home, took him to church and bible study, taught him right from wrong, kept him in sports year round and anyone that knows me, will tell you that I am my children's cheerleader. However, I rode his azz, I would not allow him to sag his pants, I bought them. I stayed on him about grades, I encouraged him in a positive manner and even though his father and I worked long hours to take care of him, he still decided he wanted to try weed, alcohol, and in Virginia, join a gang. He tried to disrespect me, and I wasn't having it. He was angry about something and we could not figure out why? I tried to get social services to tell me where to get him anger management and the police to help me and they said he had to be in the system to get him help. What else was there for us to do? He brought weed, enough for one joint, in my house and I used that against him. I told him, if he did not straighten up that I was going to turn it into the police and he didn't and I did. That was how I got him help. It broke my heart to see my child in handcuffs and taken out of my house, but he needed help. He went through a program in South Carolina that taught him to slow down, stop and think before acting (we went to the meetings with him). He is now in the Navy and a full time student. The only suggestion that I have is for parents not to give up on their children and to keep them in their prayers. I ask that the communities not give up. Find somewhere to get them help when you see that they are falling. I don't know why my son was angry, we were a military family and did all that we could to keep him close to us and on the right track. We need to make help available rather than waiting until these children get in trouble first. I feel your pain and anger in regards to the black crime, but every crime that a black child or person commits should not be a sentence of death for the black race, it should be a sign that we all need help. Get involved, if you have suggestions, get involved in a program for at risk youth so those suggestion could be heard. Get off the computer and couch and help. Stop looking at it from a victim point of view and start looking at it from an advocate point of view, not only will it help you from becoming a victim, but it will stop the perpretrator from victimizing.

If all parents, black of white, would work as hard to raise their kids such as you did, we wouldn't have these problems.

you are so right about everythign you said..........and sad thing is alot of these boys on the street that is commiting these crimes do come from good homes and good parentslike yourself but for some reason choose to do the opposite but like the bible says train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.........and it is good that you did what you did and he knew his background and realized that was not the right path to go and so great he gor help and is doing the great things that he is doing now.........
