Local Biker Hangs from Cross as Part of Protest

Dude I hate to tell you but that is blasphemy in the highest order. You haven't done ANYTHING for humanity to deserve to do what you did. That is MOCKING The Lord Jesus Christ and that is something you DON'T want to do.
Be grateful that you are still alive and able to go on with your life after God watched you make a mockery of what is only begotten son did for us. Shame on you. |

the cross issue aside, what exactly where the orginal charges laid against this person, I understand that after much protest and I am sure not a small amount in legal fees he has been cleared BUT what was he charged with......
another sterling job of NOT telling a story. |

do you think Jesus was the only one crucified on a cross? no..he wasnt the first and he wasnt the last..it was a common practice in roman times and they crucified countless people. it was a common form of execution. |

Amen, Shocked dad. I am thinking of the words, When I Survey the Wondrous Cross.
When I survey the wondrous cross on which the Prince of Glory died; my richest gain I count but loss, and pour contempt on all my pride. Forbid it Lord, that I should boast, save in the death of Christ, my God all the vain things that charm me most, I sacrifice them to his blood. See from his head, his hands his feet, sorrow and love flow mingled down. Did e'er such love and sorrow meet, or thorns compose so rich a crown. Were the whole realm of nature mine, that were an offering far too small; love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all! |

So I shall assume that you go to the mall and grab all the spotty little scroats that have crosses upside down as part of their jewelery and tell them the same thing........whilst I respect your right to think what you like I really do not see that as being totally offensive.......like already said this was just the way they did things back then, its not like they dreamed up the way of death JUST for jesus, the only difference he got was that they NAILED him. |

Blah, blah, blah!!! Do you wear a cross as jewelry of any kind? How is that any different? I agree with the person that stated that the cross was not just dreamed up as a way to crucify Jesus. Many people were crucified. In fact, the cross is actually used in a variety of things, including flags. If the guy who put himself up on the cross for demonstration purposes is okay with doing so, why should we tell him what he can think, feel or do when it causes no harm to anyone else. I understand the point he made. DO YOU? |

What the people of America has got to understand today, is that in reality we ALL live in a police state.
I also believe we live in the best country in the world today. But with out question, i do believe his rights were violated in some form. Simply because of his life style as a biker. |

if all the people that have had their rights violated by some level of government, hung on a cross to protest.
there would be a cross on every street corner in america. |

Just because this guy choose this way to send a message... doesn't mean that many others haven't done it in other ways. Protesting with signs and such... happens every single day. Maybe everyone who has had their rights violated should do what he did. Perhaps our government would get the message then. People are getting tired of having their rights violated, I for one am. But something has got to give. I don't know what the answer is... I wish I did. But I promise you this, this is not what our founding fathers had in mind. |

To Shocked Dad; check your history at one point and time the main road leading into Rome was lined for hundreds of miles with bodies on crosses. And if you had sit through this trial as I did and seen how badly his Constitutional Rights were ignored, heard all the outright lies, told by JSO and Federal experts, then you`d really have something to be upset over. Bet you back Gay Marrige

i am a Christian...far be it, not a perfect one by any means..i have many faults...but as a Christian this doesnt offend me really. i mean, it might come across as poor taste, but not sacriligious..i mean, like its been said, people wear crosses as jewelry, and many who do are not Christians.....i have 2 cross tattoos..does that make me sacriligious? i dont think so..and in some church christmas programs they hang the person portraying Jesus on a cross...that is more blasphemous to me! |

id love to know when he was going to do this again...id like to meet the man actually..he obviously feels very strongly for peoples rights and the fact that the federal government does tend to violate those rights....id like to talk to him..i bet he has some very good thoughts on the subject.

ShockedDad and Unclaimedtreasure,
What symbol would you suggest better exemplifies unjust persecution at the hands of your own government? I guess he could have stapled himself to a giant Star of David... As far as the sanctity of the cross and any "blasphemy" associated with it's use as an icon, since you're obviously very religious and have read the Gospels thoroughly, you undoubtedly know that Jesus was one of three dudes crucified on the day he died. So you're well aware that He doesn't hold a copyright on the symbol (or Good Friday either, now that I think of it). Calling the use of a cross for non-Christian purposes "blasphemy" is like calling the use of a horse for non-Cowboy purposes "animal abuse." |
