I'm 14, and when my mom and I go into a store such as Target, I always see those fluorescent light bulbs but yet my mom insists that we don't need them.
My grandfather has a solar-powered home in Camden County (he's lived in it for a long time, and it's perfect). His electricity bill is unbelievably low. Hopefully someday our family will switch to be more environmentally-friendly. For now, we're doing minor things such as turning the TV off when we leave the house or when we're not in a room, turn the light off when we're not in the room, etc. |

Why don't you do a story on how hypocrites like Al Gore are profiting from the global warming hoax and how ethanol is causing the price of food to rise, not only in the United States, but world wide? Maybe you could also tell them about how the United Nations is now using global warming as an excuse to get the United States taxpayers to fork over more money to other nations. If people are "going green" to cut their personal energy costs, then fine, but if they really think that doing it will change the global climate then they are absolute morons. Perhaps you can do a story on how these same alarmists told us, 31 years ago, that another ice age was coming in 30 years. Still waiting for that one. FCN, do you have the courage to actually look into this, or will you be like the other mindless idiots that believe anything their told about global warming, even when there's no proof to back it up? |

I recyle as much as I can and the basics of turning off lights but to be honest when people get so anal about the whole issue I think to my self, well I pay my own bill, I am not coming to you asking for help to pay it so why not find another cause to bleat about............and I am not a great fan of treehuggers either, have enough of them in California to last me a life time.

I wear a green colored shirt every once in a while...that's about it. I'm always about two or three years late to every hot trend...but yeah, I pay thousands of dollars about every six months so that UNF can build "green" buildings and plant trees while slicing classes and jeopardizes students' futures.

The best way to go "green" is to paint everything WHITE. We need to cool off the planet and to do that we must reflect light/heat....green absorbs it.

OK, is that the best you guys can do??? We have switched out all the burned out incandescent bulbs for CFL's, even outside, with our security lights. We recycle everything we can. We ripped up most of the lawn and planted native ground covers and plants. Lower water bills, and it takes about 20 minutes to cut the yard now, and we get more butterflies and birds in the yard than ever before. There are more things, but these are the big three. Now, you boys do better, or I will come pull your pants down and whip your butt with a belt. I got a studded one just for ICQ Johnnie Bottom Boy! I know he will find it just divine!

I have been riding my bike to and from work, and to the store Since May 2007. I also have planted a tree and flowers. I recycle everything that I can and reuse items that is cabable of being reused. I take public transportation when going long distances like a train or bus. So I am doing my part.
