wow. i remember playing at Devon's house when we were really little. he was a good friend back then but i havent talked to him since. Then all of a sudden i hear bad things about him and it begs me to wonder what happened to that good kid? personally, i cannot feel so sorry for the kid because he had a criminal record and was on a bad path leading to nowhere good. i feel bad for his family who has to deal with the aftermath. regardless though, no one deserves this.

im soooo sorry bout what had happened...i didnt really know devon but he did not deserve it...no one deserves to die...i guess the good really do die young...god wanted him for a reason and now hes in a better place...

I am sad to hear this.. No matter what, this boy is someone's child, perhaps brother, friend..loved one. He was loved and he will be missed by his family and friends. No parent should have to bury a child..it is the saddest & most unnatural thing...may he rest in peace and may his family remember him lovingly.

wow! shows how much you really know about devon. Do not believe everything you hear. The only criminal record devon had was getting into a fight with some kids at school and those where the ones that shot him and for trespassing at the mall. Would you exactly call that a criminal record? I think not.

I love that response. "God Wanted Him For A Reason" Have we as a society become so complacent that we allow ourselfs to cast blame on an imaginary man in the sky?

I am sure if there is a "God". The first thing on his agenda would not be the need for a 16 year old kid.

I wish people would understand that kids are a product of their enviornment. Bad parents, Violence and Oversexulization on TV, Constant pressure and other factors are the reason for this.

If you actually look at this forum and see the number of stories about teens/kids killing or seriously injuring eachother. Then see the responses from people like R.I.P Dog, What a good kid he was etc..

You would see that all our kids are turning out to be is another headline another post on a forum another statistic.

Solve the issue at it's source. THE PARENT.
