Full story: WPRI Providence and Rhode Island

I hope that terrible man sees his children dying in his dreams every time he closes his eyes. There isn't punishment strong enough for him.

I don't understand how anyone could do this once, let alone four times, one after the other. My heart breaks for their mother, robbed of her family and knowing her children died injured and afraid - injured and killed by one of the people who was supposed to love and protect them.

I recall that case, then was hopeful when Luong later said that he did not throw the kids off the bridge. Now it's the truth that he did.

I too hope that every time he closes his eyes, he sees his kids dying.

Too many kids are suffering in this world.

In the bible it says at 1 John 5:19 that the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one. Also at 2 Timothy 3:1-5 says that in the last days critical times will be here. Then it tell what people would be like during that time. one of the things it says is that people would be fierce, without love of goodness....having no natural affection..
It is no wonder we see these horrific crimes today.

I sat here and cried when I read this. I feel for this mother I know what it is to lose a child. I don't understand people. Why on earth would a man do this to his own children? My daughter did not have a choice and neither did these children! Who is he to play GOD? I think he should be given the same punishment he gave his children. I do believe in forgiveness and I hope he finds it before he dies! Because I would hate to be in his shoes before GOD and not to have asked for forgiveness. His punishment will be worse than what man can do to him.

Please stop with your Bible Thumping. This man needs to be judged by mankind not by an Imaginary person in the sky nor by a book that is a collection of hearsay. Things or People that do not exist cannot cast judgement on anyone.

Confused...I can see you are just that-confused. Take a look around your house, even the most simple thing required a designer, a maker. Do you think anything even as simple as an ant came about by itself? The creation itself speaks of God's glory.
And as such He has the right and power to decide what is right or wrong for us,. You,yourself ascribe to what the bible says as it condemns murder. You must be a young person, or someone that has not investigated the bible for yourself. You may want to do that as learning about the Creator and his Son is life saving.
This man committed a heinous crime, unspeakable. Thankfully according to the bible in Romans, God allows the superior authorities to decide what to do with criminals at this point in time and the courts have decided his punishment.
Ironically you, a person that doesn't believe in the bible, again agrees with it.

Lisa,

My veiws are of my own making. I do not require a book to tell me what is right or wrong. I chose the nickname Confused, because yes I am just that. I am confused why people who are brainwashed and those who have to quote bible passages just to try and get their point across.

Thank you for assuming I am young as well. I am 30, I am also in the Army. I have been in for 12 years since this past September. Guess what we are at War as well and would you like to know a major driving point behind this War? Religion, plain and simple People are playing My God is Better than Youre God.

Please tell me something good that has come from Religion in the past oh, I dont know 100 years? I will tell you that I cannot think of one, However here are some bad. War, Child Molestation, Murder, Suicide Bombings, The list could go on and on. The next time you kneel in your pulpit ask yourself why any of that happens?

And for the love of all that is green and good do not answer back with "I't was Gods Will".

You chose to believe that the Bible is literally true and not just the New Testament right? That's the happy half of the good book: baby in the manger, Jesus doing magical things like walking on water, and my favorite, turning water into wine and etc. It’s generally a positive message -Jesus preached love and forgiveness. What about the Jonah story interpretation in the Bible? Living three days in a whale? Oh wait, no, the Bible says it was a big fish. Like that's possible?

Do you also take the Old Testament literally, too? In that one, God is insecure and rage-filled. He's been alive forever and he has serious anger issues and people are stoned to death.

I agree with Confused. Religion has created war, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, hate, crime and corruption. Religion convinced the world that there's an invisible being in the sky who watches everything you do. Isn’t it sort of like believing in Santa Clause?

Confused,
I would never, ever say the war or all the other horrible things going on in the earth are God's will. He is a loving God and this was definitely NOT his purpose for the earth.
I totally agree with you, the war now and all wars were started because of religion. And actually God does not back any of them, He is not partial (Acts 10:34) But I am not talking about religion. I am talking about the bible. False religion started way back in the garden of Eden and it is continues strong today. It has according to the bible, caused all the deaths down to our day(Rev.18:24). Now I have to quote the bible because that is where I get my beliefs. And I might add the bible exposes false religion too. Remember when Jesus called the religious leaders of his day blind guides?(Matt. 15:14)He also said "By their fruits you will recognize those men" Well many many people have turned their back on God because of false religious teachings. And they will answer for that.
I don't need to ask why these things happen, I know that it was prophesied that these things would happen and it was also prophesied how God is going to take care of this mess. But let's say that I am in ttal agreement with you about hte world situation and world conditions. And I still wroship the true God of the Bible.

Joanie,
God has not changed. He is the same in both the Hebrew and Greek scriptures. He is righteous and just and he doesn't allow emotion to get in the way.
Adam lost life for us, where do you think he would be today if he hadn't sinned? He would still be here on the earth. But he chose to listen to Gods adversary and in doing so, we are all condemned to death. That is where Jesus came in. With his perfect life he bought back what Adam lost for humans. And he taught that the whole Mosaic law hung on 2 commands, loving God and neighbor. If we all did this there would not be the problems in the world we see today.
God is not going to let this go on indefinitly. We are in the time period that the bible calls "the last days" and God will shortly step in and bring the earth back to what he originally purposed for it, a peaceful paradise with mankind in harmony. However as we know, not all would like to see this happen as many today reflect the attitude of Satan. They are selfish and hateful, having no natural affection and so on and there will be no place for that attitude so God is going to take action on all that oppose his rule. Daniel 2:44 says "The God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms and it itself will stand till times indefinite" I look forward to that day...that will be a time when true justice and love will rule on the earth.

If this is his purpose, then what's he waiting for? Why wait for more suffering?

In Matthew 24 it gives the signs of the last days. It says in verse 14 that during all the chaos "and this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all the nations and then shall the end come"KJV

So the good news of Gods Kingdom has to preached so all can have a chance to learn about the future. Some change their lives and become favorable to God.There are many that really don't know about his promises or how life really should be. In 2 Peter 3:9 it says that God isn't slow respecting his promise but he doesn't want any to be destroyed but to attain repentance. So he is giving time for people to learn. So though it seems as if he doesn't care he really does, wanting as many as possible to learn.Remember he gave his Son for us. Think of how painful it was for him to see that but to know it was the only way for man to be redeemed.

You can quote the bible all you like. But I will warn you, quoting bible verses to me is like talking to a brick wall, sure the wall will listen to you but ill be damned if it's really going to give a crap.

The thing with you religious folks is that you always try to justify life with: 1. A book. 2. Gods infinate wisdom/will.

Here I will do this for you. I will write a book tommorow. This book will outline and preditermin your whole life. Wait I allready started some of it. Here's a quote from "Confused 3:16" "Tho shall play in traffic and all of thy sins shall be cleansed in metal and headlights"

You what the sad thing is. You actually are so out of it that you try and adapt things that were written THOUSANDS of years ago to your daily life.

Let me ask you one thing. Would you belive in God if you did not have someone telling you about God? Would you belive in God if things were not allready written down for you?

You are a puppet and the Vatican is holding the strings.

I cut those strings long ago and you know what?

Beliving in yourself is a great way to live.
