Bottom Line, Sara Palin talks the talk of the religious right. She can get up there and run her mouth, but the fact of the matter is, Palin doesn't think women are smart enough to make their own reproductive choices. Also, interestingly enough, one of the first things she did after becoming Governor was to cut funding to unwed teenage mothers. She also threatened to have a librarian fired when she wouldn't remove books that Sarah felt were offensive when she was mayor of (can't think of the name} the little town. Just another Hillary want-to-be. Ha! Oh yea, did I mention her 17 year old daughter is pregnant and that Sarah Palin is proud of her?

Holly, you might want to think about getting a 2nd job for your tax dollars to support that kid.

For starters: Sarah Palin is opposed to birth control of any type, including use by married couples. Sarah Palin is opposed to the teaching of sex education. Sarah Palin is even opposed to the use of condoms to prevent the spread of disease. Sarah Palin is against equal pay for equal work. Sarah Palin is against free speech. Sarah Palin has a history of injecting religion in her political policies. Sarah Palin believes the war in Iraq is a war for God. You call that liberty and freedom?

OMG!! I have heard this talking point on two channels in the last 20 minutes MSNBC and Jon Stewart's The Daily Show. When talking about executive experience. Barack Obama ran this tremendous campaign. That's their example of executive experience? Not a good talking point. They are in trouble IMHO.

Mccain said he would be choosing the best person for the job. Then after weeks and weeks of attacking Barack Obama for not having enough experience mcCain picks this virtually unknown woman with even less experience to be his VP and possibly be in charge of our country. Talk about scarey! And while woodtv and the other news outlets are basically ignoring the story, Mccain actually wanted Lieberman but instead went with Palin at the urging of fellow pubs who thought choosing Liebraman would divide the party. So much for the "reaching out across the aisle" mccain claims to do. And are we supposed to believe she was the best for the job? There are plenty of women (and men) who were FAR more qualified and respected than her. Is this the kind of decision making you people want running the country? An aging flip flopper who can easily be manipulated into changing his mind? If you think Washington is controlled by lobbyist now just you wait and see what happens if mcCain gets elected. And as for the so called "attacks" against palin the pubs are crying about - waa waa so sad. Palin is another one of the all too many do as I say not as I do republicans preaching to everyone about how to live their lives while not practicing what they preach. She can't even keep her own underage unwed daughter from getting pregnant yet she wants to tell everyone else what to do with their bodies and to abstain from sex? This is why the "attacks" against her are fair. If she can dish it out she better be ready to take it!!!! If she can't she may want to find another career.(And need I remind you of the anti-gay republicans hypocrites who were caught soliciting sex with men? Are all republicans hypocrites or just he ones in America?) Don't blow it again this election people.

I see things much different, IT"S ABOUT TIME someone took some jabs at Obama.Certainly can't count on the media.!!! We know nothing of what Obama is going to do.I do know if you clean up crap at the base gov, it will stop the lobbyists which McCain knows how to do.

Voting Republican has become a waste of a vote! The GOP has lost touch with America! (I'll be voting for the best person for the Job....and now it is Bob Barr!) "Social" Conservative is just a cute name for "National Socialist" The platform of the GOP is Identical to Hitlers! Dominate....and Control!

I dread another four years of Reublican politics, even though Palin appealed to many here in Michigan. Clearly, there is nothing conservative about Republicans spending going after the wrong war, and giving federal subsidies to big oil and big buisness!

Good Morning Liberals! Did you sleep good last night? Or did the vision of a real and independently minded woman having the chance to speak her mind keep you tossing and turning all night long? I’ll bet your standard bearer didn’t sleep very well. Your guy is supposed to be the one who stands up for the rights of all those minorities. Your guy is supposed to be the progressive candidate who is running to change government. But your guy is the one who decided the best way to change the way things are going was to grab on to just another life long entrenched white male congressman. So go ahead and whine about Sarah Palin. Complain about the fact that she doesn’t have any of your so called experience, like your VP choice does. Cry about whatever you want. But when you see those signs that scream CHANGE, remember that your guy didn’t have the nerve to make a change in his choice for a VP.

Obama can go back to his Illinois commie buddies! What we NEED in DC is Leadership. You certainly won't find that in the Republican Party. Look what there Leadership has gotten us the last 8 years. I always thought you were supposed to pick the person you thought would be a good replacement if the President is somehow unable to fulfill his/her duties. Is this really the person John McCain wants to have to replace him should something happen? Or is this more about him thinking she will get him elected? I think it is the later not the former.

Is this really the person John McCain wants to have to replace him should something happen? Or is this more about him thinking she will get him elected? I think it is the later not the former. Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich did what conservatives have been waiting for someone to do since Sarah Palin was announced as John McCain's running mate: take on someone in the media claiming that she lacks the qualifications to be vice president. Such marvelously occurred Tuesday evening on the convention floor in St. Paul when MSNBC's Ron Allen said to the former Speaker, "But to be fair, her resume is not something we're familiar seeing with presidential candidates." This didn't sit well with Gingrich who strongly replied (video embedded right, h/t NB readers Matt Noll and Patrick): It's stronger than Barack Obama's. I don't know why you guys walk around saying this baloney. She has a stronger resume than Obama. She's been a real mayor, he hasn't. She has been a real governor, he hasn't. She's been in charge of the Alaskan National Guard, he hasn't. She was a whistleblower who defeated an incumbent mayor. He has never once shown that kind of courage. She's a whistleblower who turned in the chairman of her own party and got him fined $12,000. I've never seen Obama do one thing like that. She took on the incumbent governor of her own party and beat him, and then she beat a former Democratic governor in the general election. I don't know of a single thing Obama's done except talk and write. Newt then challenged Allen: I'd like you to tell me one thing Sen. Obama's done. With that, Allen retreated, and said: Thanks very much, Mr. Speaker. I'm going to leave it there. I'm not going to argue the case. Thanks very much. http://www.youtube.com/watch...
