John McCain has unleashed a despicable smear campaign against Obama. Smear campaigns are the last effort of failing political campaigns.
Only campaigns that cannot win on the issues resort to these low tactics.

McCain is just down-and-out DESPERATE now.

The sad thing about this is that McCain has decided to end his own political career dishonorably. He flushed his integrity down the toilet.

He can be as nasty and as mean as he needs to be. He can also afford to flush his integrity down the toilet because this is his last shot. There is no way he would run as a 76 year old in four years.

Ahhh, the poor Obama campaign. What a bunch of babies.

Obama has got to be the biggest baby-candidate of any candidate i have ever seen. Obama's doesn't have to smear because he has the ENTIRE media supporting him that can do his smearing for him.

Obama is a man-child and a cry baby.

It's really sad that he is useing Palin to do his dirty work to start the smear. Is that the real reason he picked her? She is a political throwaway. If the smear does not work there is nothing lost except a hockeymom who would never be a real contender.

The only ones I hear crying are the McCain camp.

I think that he chose her because he knew he wouldnt win and didnt want to take down an important member of the GOP with him. Being part of a losing campaign does not look good on a resume.

Obama is cleaning up in the electoral college.
He has a 329 to 194 lead over McCain, not counting North Carolina ( a traditionally republican state) which is tied. It's starting to look more like a landslide every week.

Here is the latest electoral map, updated daily:
http://www.electoral-vote.com/

This is why McCain has become DESPERATE. They are taking the low road of personal attacks because they have nothing left.
And as you said, at 72, this is his last shot.
It's just a shame he's ending his political career without his integrity.

There are even small business owners coming over to his side. They get it. Seeing what a Republican economy is all about, why would you want 4 more years of this.

All Hands on Deck for a Swift Boat attack. When you can't beat them because your record and the record of your party is miserable start the personal attacks. Of course the fact that you have been whining like a pig for months about having to defend your record, your V.P.'s record and your V.P.'s lack of a record does not slow you down when you are being advised by Rove proteges.

I think McBush has lost it. The old McBush would have been courting not alienating the media. He would never have run some of the ads that he now finds himself trying to defend as "true." This campaign is making the Dukakis handlers look like geniuses.

Oh Pete, you are a man-child too. Like Obama, you can dish it out, but just not take it.

Someone tell Obama this is not a community organizer election. This is the big leagues. He's running for President of the country. Not President of liberals, he's already won that.

If he's going to cry about McCain attack ads, how is he going to handle jabs he gets from Putin and Ahmadinejad?

What a joke.

Your are right about one thing. We need a Democratic President, a Democratic controlled senate and a Democratic House of Representatives. And then we will get this country on track. Similarly to the time of the Great Depression.

Don't feel sorry for me. I don't relay on the Government for anything, especially my class ranking.
