Driver slightly hurt when rock thrown through bus windshield

I too went to Cedar Point for 8th grade graduation via charter bus. We did get home around 2 am.

I just wanted to point out that the title of the story is about the bus driver being hurt but the whole article is written about how no one showed up. No mention of WHAT had happened to the bus driver. Wood needs some new writers...

it's true. They pimped the kids out before, during and after the trip... that's why they got home late. That's how a real field trip is run... no one has fun til someone comes home crying.

The other point people are missing is why it took so long to locate the bus.

K'zoo Public Safety said they received 4 accounts of where the bus was. Was there only ONE officer on duty? If there were 4 accounts of an accident (or murder, or medical emergency, or other situation for that matter) is it not prudent to send someone to each location? Suppose this was a heart attack victim and it took an hour to reach them.

Fortunately, this story ended with minor injuries. I think the KPS needs to examine why the 4 different reports weren't treated as individual emergencies until proven otherwise. KPS is not some small town out in the country with one cruiser.
