Why were there no life jackets on the boat? Isn't that the first thing you should grab before going out in any water? So sorry to the grandson I hope he gets through this ok.

My prayers go out to this family -- my husband and grandson are extremely close and I know how this would effect my grandson. No matter what the grandsons age is - he obviously had a real relationship with his grandpa.
As for the inappropriate comments published -- my prayers really go out to you poor souls who have no idea what love and compassion is about. Perhaps you had an abusive grandpa or an unpleasant upbringing by people who didn't seem to care about you. I suggest you grab a Bible and read of a heavenly father who loved you before your were even born. He loves you and will teach you how to love others with compassion. Please take me up on my offer to pick that good book and find out what caring about others is all about.

Can I have Grand pa's boat if I fish it out?
You really must think your funny huh? Can you just stop with the jokes about this poor family. When you feel the need to be cruel count to ten, and stop to think that it could be you or a loved one. My Deepest Sympathy to the grandson, and family.

Lot of Kwessins - apparantly you have nothing better to do with your time than to make completely ignorant statements. You should be ashamed for even writing those comments.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the family.

There is only one thing that your comment does.
It proves that in this country idiots are still allowed to purchase and use computers.

I agree with this post. Especially since I know the family! If you idiots have nothing better to do with your time, you must have pretty sad lives.

Wow. What a horrible tragedy. Hopefully the grandson will cherish the memories he has with his Grandpa and know that he died doing something he loved. My prayers go out to the family. God Bless you.

You know the questions really don't matter at this point. Will knowing the answers really make a difference for a family who is grieving and a grandson who is probably going to feel the effects of this the rest of his life. Believe me, coming from someone who lost a young family member in a tragic accident. The families ask themselves questions over and over and guess what, they never get answers. Just pray for the family..no need to ask questions.
