This is aging me, but oh well. I like that song called "I Fought The Law" and I can't remember who sang it! Some of the words are: "I fought the law and the law won........"

"God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys has to be one of my alltime favorites. Carl Wilson was unbelievable on this song, sad that he died way to young (51 I believe). Don't worry baby was also great although it was actually about a car.

Certainly not a 'power ballad' by any means, but "Smoke gets in your eyes' by The Platters is as good a ballad as any.
