It's sad what happened to the kids. That 14 year old should never have been driving. Those kids seem like nothing but trouble.

Punk kids are old enough to know right from wrong. If they don't know is the time to teach them a lesson. I do hope they recover from their injuries.

it's NOT sad what happened to those kids. they knew it was wrong but as most puberty fueled punks they are convinced they are invincible and think it's fun. whats another thing they will say to cover....oh yeah, the adrenalin rush was awesome. it served them right. actually i think it should have been worse. i hope they all have a LASTING huge reminder of that 'fun' they had

I think that all teenagers go through their times and to the person that said it should have been worse. you should never wish that on any one. one of those kids happen to be my nephew and yes he deserves to be punished but if the lord wanted them now then he wold hAVE TAKEN THEM mybe this will wake them up.

This is great news! You play with fire you get burned. Hopefully they will remember this for the rest of their lives.

All you punks deserve a good old fashion A** whoopin, and I guarantee if any of you were mine you wouldn't sit down for a week. Better yet your parents deserve one also from not properly raising you.

I'm glad they didn't hurt any innocent people. Too bad any of these losers lived. There's nothing good that will come from any of them.

Wow such harsh words. The kids messed up and they will pay for their mistakes. But to wish harm, death etc is very cold. I dont know these kids but it doesnt matter. I still dont wish harm or death on them. Grow up. Just because a kids messes up doesnt mean their parents didnt teach them right from wrong. Good thing there are so many "perfect" parents out there. Kids are kids and will do something right or wrong. They just think they can do whatever and not get caught. It is not only kids that do this stuff, it is adults too.
I hope for a speedy recovery and thank god they didnt hurt anyone else.

"How are these kids not sitting in jail right now?"

Most likely because they are in the hospital. But, yes they do all need to be punished and the parents need to be held responsible for all damages done by their minor child. They also need to know that Jesus does love them and will forgive them.

Drugs, alcohol, stolen car, fleeing police, burglary involving firearms. That is NOT kids being kids. Those are hardened criminals who just happen to be younger than most. They have NO future.

I work and live near that exit on the highway. I also have 3 teenage children, And what these kids is wrong. My kids just lost a good friends in a ATV accident about three weeks ago. We as parents can't stop our kids from making bad choices, But we need to giude them and help them become good people. And from what I heard the boy driving was in the foster care system and A runaway. So how are his parents Good parents. But kids will be kids and stealing a car, guns, and running from the Cops is not a kid thing. ITS JUST DUMB !!
