just did a record search on him mostly driving offenses its a shame he graduated to possible murder , come on guys is a corner really worth all of this killing .this young man sounded like a good kid i hope he has to ties to gangs . to his family very sorry for your loss i hope you can move on after this tragic shooting.

How sad that this happens way too often. Now, the life of a young man in high school is over because of some nut. My prayers go out to his family and friends.

Hurtin FOR FALLEN SOLDIER: Speak english. and color has nothing to do with it. i think someone was just saying that he went to school everyday(victim)but he didn't go that day. would like to know why he was on the streets that day if he didn't go to school. my kids would never had been on the streets if they didn't go to school that day. it's not color, it's called parenting.

Excuse me--don't go there!! Blaming the victim and his parent. How nice for you that you are perfect, living in your cocoon there in Rockford. The rest of us live in the real world. We know that, unfortunately, we can't control everything--and sometimes horrible things happen, even when we are just walking down the street. And, by the way, it is not "the streets" it is MY neighborhood.

Maybe you should get the facts straight, he was walking down the street with some people who had problems with East Ave. He wasent friends with East Ave.

This happened right outside my son's church! I'm so tired of all this hip-hop, gang crap that I'm thinking about going vigilante. If my son had been there and gotten hurt, you would be reading about the new Batman of Grand Rapids who carries firearms and utterly destroys these vile pieces of human garbage.
