Everything is going up, gas, elect. etc... Except my pay. If things don't turn around soon, there maybe a war in this country..

Hate to say it, but maybe it would just be better if everyone leaves Michigan. I only say "hate to say it" because I have two kids in the area and would hate to only be able to see them during the summers or what not, but I am getting closer and closer to that thought of just packing up and moving.

No. I say stay and fight these rascals. Business sliped their foot in the door and is doing as it pleases. Remember when rate hikes had to go through the public utility commission? Let's bring it back, but this time, with folks just like us. vocal, concerned and certainly had enough!
well, thats my 2 cents. don't let them get you down.

Hate to say it, but nearly everyone I know is about to crack. And I don't mean dope. The greater divide between the "have's" and the "have nots" continues. The middle class is becoming a memory. The way it's going, it's either revolution or depression in my book.

I will never leave Michigan...to me it's the prettiest state there is. My family is all here..my family is all buried here...and here is where I need to be...I have to work more hours to keep what I have but I'll do what I have to. I'll cut expenses where I can...until they regulate the gas companies we will all be suffering but the rich. I'm wondering how long it will take people to snap?

boy our politicians "worked together" just fine to pass this little piece of legislation right on through didnt they?

no bi partisan politics here on this issue, its good for repub and democrate.
it screws the citizens,
but our politicians can for sure cross party lines for this little special interest gravy biscuit.

I think we should all go out an buy our own electric generators and have our power by these electric companies shut off. Then if they had no money coming in they might think twice about raising our rates.

I'm glad you like paying top dollar for your electricity, because that would be the result of doing that, something I would not do.

It's more like the taxers and the taxed.

The Dems want federal control and ownership of everything possible... and many so-called Reps are either going along with the Dems or have NO BACKBONE. Taxes will continue to go up and are ALWAYS paid by the consumer, as corporate taxes are passed on in the price of the product or service. It is high time to stand up against these taxes... even if it is only to avoid taxes where possible and buy everything on sale that we possibly can.

The real gig to get is as a U.S. Senator or Representative, where "we the people" take care of them until the day they die. What a freaking racket.

This hike will be on top of the proposed 15% lawmakers want to put on working class families so big business can pay less.

However; state lawmakers, the second highest paid in the nation refuse to cut their pay, which went up 27% in 2001 or their lifetime health care.

Great job Andy Dillon.
