This is all well and good, However, NEWS 8 doesnt mention where this is located. They just say Grand Rapids. Is it @ the Amway hotel?

Not sure if you meant this sarcastically or read it again but it DOES have the location...Here is the copy and paste from the article...

"The best-selling author of The Greatest Generation was the headliner for the event at the DeVos Place that also honored two of the community's own luminaries."

Maybe if he bankrupted the country, blew our economy, and started a pointless war he would have some conservative credentials.
Did you catch McCellan's comments. Cool huh.

Nope, it wasn't sarcastic, i was on News 8 website and the only article was Brokaw to speak at the econ club tonight. They failed to mention were it was being held at, however i commented on News 8 finally putting it in the article that the econ club was held at Devos Place.

He did work for NBC (Nothing But Clinton) network, i think he is brain washed. Not a whole lot of things we can do to save him anymore.

Did YOU catch McCellan's comments, he stated that the publisher padded some of the stories in his book. Look it up, i smell a lawsuit against the stupid ACLU lovin publisher that added and padded his book.

What's with the attacks? The guy has done an amazing job bringing much-needed recongnition to WWII vets, was obviously very well respected by Pres. Ford, and yet all you can see from the article is some 'liberal bias'? I guess you see what you want to see but it's just a shame some people go through life so filled with hate for something that is as minor as a news telecast. That's why God invented remote controls, if you don't like how something is being said just turn the freakin' channel.

It's over Frank, give it up.
Apparently you have missed all of Scott's interviews.
They will purge all reference of "W" from all history books next year.
I thought conservatives opposed lawsuits. You know the truth will prevail thing.

Isn't it nice to see a clear, concise opinion. I wish I could have heard the whole evenings events. Grand Rapids is becoming quite the focal point for discussions of world events. I knew I loved this city.

Tom Brokaw a few years ago was at a meeting a friend of mine bartended bar at. She is an alcoholic that can go through a half gallon of vodka in 3 days. She said Brokaw was drinking more than she does when he was getting drinks. I wonder if he has an alcohol problem too?

Steve in GR, I agree with you.
t is obvious that no one here even heard the speech (you may have read it and then subsequently read your own tones into the words). It was motivating and bi-partisan, in my opinion. They most likely didn't advertise location much as it was a private event held by the econ club. It wasn't just something you could show up for with no ticket.
I looked at these posting expecting to see admiration and respect for the man, or if not the man, the message. I am surprised its nothing more than attacks. Nothing better to do, I guess. These are the folks that needed to hear the speech the most!
