Seriously, did the conventions change your mind? Did they help you make up your mind?

The conventions gave me a chance to see who the real leader was and the potential change they will bring the country if elected. Osama/Biden showed me nothing by empty promises that will only hurt the US more. I am voting for McCain/Palin in 08!!!!!!!!!!

I am still undecided. My biggest problem is that I get turned off soooooo much when I watch a speech by any candidate and it turns into a bashing of the opposing candidate. I don't want to hear about how you hate the other candidate or what you feel they are doing or have done wrong. I want to hear what YOU are going to do, how YOU are going to do, what YOU stand for, etc. As soon as the bashing starts, I tend to just shut it off. And it is kind of the same way on some of these topics. There are so many people that post on here that are hard-core party line voters. And that is okay. But it is people like me that aren't voting party lines that want to hear some objective thoughts and ideas from people. I want someone that can say something like "well this candidate says he wants to do this which I think would work.....but I think the other candidate has a better way to make it work and this is why."

It might help to remember that Palin was responding to things being said about her.

I'm NOT a POW...JM is.... respected for that but that's all we hear from him, over and over and over. That was the Whole speech and her whole deal is...she USED to be a "Hockey Mom"? Big deal! Mayor and Gov. and Mocking others...She's a real turnoff. Like I've said before...All she's got going for her is she's got "definable ankles". That's what your buddy Rush said. That's qualifying,'eh? Read about her and find out the truth. She'll be in court in Alaska before she'll ever get a chance to be sworn in. She has many things to answer for...Vegas is payin' real cash on this one. I already put my money down...This is the only way the Repub's can make us $$...

I am sick and tired of all the Bush Bashing. Look at all the crap that he's had dumped in his lap. We have not been attacked since 9/11. We were attacked 7 times during Clinton's watch and he didn't do a dam thing. So we're in a war. So what? I'd rather we fight them over there then over here!

Hey I was really sick of all the crap the Republicans did to Clinton, how much money they spent to find a personal problem. So get off it, you get it back just like you gave it

Conventions mean nothing, other than a glimpse into who is the more passionate public speaker. That's it. I'm voting to Barak as I have been decided all along. Anyone who still doesn't know should not have their minds made up by a 15 minute speech written by someone else. Heck, Ben Stein made Nixon look competant. Wait for the debates. That's where the true colors come out.

With zero attempt to disrespect McCains time as a POW and the suffering he experienced. Though, how does 5 years as a POW give him leadership skills!?. He wasn't making command decisions, as far as leading during war, during that time. That five years as a POW deprived him of leadership training and experience as far as directing others.

So we should appreciate and respect him for what he went through, yet not give him credit for leadership experience he didn't get. It does NOT qualify him for Commander in Chief.

I agree, after all who finaced the war, the Democraticly control house and senate. I get really tired of these head in the sand idiots, they were the same type of isolationist that ignored what Hitler was doing one country at a time, Everyone thought it was great it we were taking the battle to the Terrorist instead of waiting for them to strike again. And I have said it before,if the Dem's have all the answers why isn't Mich. economy great after all the Gov. is a Dem.

Please don't use honor and obama in the same sentence, the man has no honor, techniqually he isn't a natually born citizen, because neither his mother or father meet the requirements at his birth.

22years in Congress and the Senate. What experience does Obama have running for president, which qualifies him to only run away from problems

And what running away from problems on Obama's part are you referring?

And it's exactly the 26 (actually) years of being a
Legislator and what he has done "for the nation" that does not make him the most desirable.

As far as "head in the sand idiot" are concerned, it's a proven fact that our attack on Iraq was NOT factually connected to the attack on us on 9/11.

"And I have said it before,if the Dem's have all the answers why isn't Mich. economy great after all the Gov. is a Dem."
Apparently it's just not sinking in that the damage Engler did to Michigan in twelve years can not be corrected in half that time. Though it should be appreciated that you believe the Democrats are so much better than Republicans to be able to do so.

No, it's not connected. But Al-quida IS fighting us there. I'd rather we fight them there than here.
