That debate was hilarious to watch. Palin was unable to comprehend most of the questions and wouldn't answer them. She repeated the same old tired rhetoric "rah, rah, maverick, reform, pipeline, etc." every time she got lost. Biden showed great poise and an exceptionally sharp mind for 65 yrs. old. Unlike Palin, he actually understood all of the questions and had real answers. On a positive note for Palin, she did provide plenty more fodder for Saturday Night Live.

She is a talking point machine, sometimes the machine spits out the wrong talking point in response to a question. Now the GOP is acting like not answering the question is some kind of display of independence, instead of incompetence.

If Palin was just average looking, and fat , would we give her the same ratings? I doubt that. She is a very ordinary person who lacks the skill to run this country. I am not "Joe Sixpack", and I resent being lumped into this group. Palin talked in platitudes, cheering McCain ...all she needed was a cheerleader outfit and Pom Pom's!!! Obama and Biden will win easy!

Geez, I thought Pete wrote the title.

Arctic = Chris Matthews ACORN Pete = Keith Olbermann Both are inflammatory and closed minded and neither affects the opinion of a reasonably intelligent human.

Gov. Sarah Palin has not been in Washington DC forever, like Sen. Biden so she won't know all the crap that has gone on there for so long. Biden has been a part of the do nothing Congress for years. We need someone from the outside with no connections to these do nothings to shake things up. Sarah Palin has a history of doing just that. Keith Olbermann & Chris Matthews opinions are worthless. Besides, on their talkshows on the Democratic Partys TV Cable Channel all they ever have done for America is critize any moral person and promote the immoral. The Democatic Party is America's Communist Party.

I don't know why I even read half the crap artic and pete write. It's a general waste of time. Do you ever take a moment to come up for air? I mean the democratic party's a ss has to be slightly suffocating.

I think all of you whose comments discredit Palin are just sour grapes, having a hissy fit, because she came off very well, much to your disappointment. So, she mispronounced a name..at least she doesn't think Ike was on TV in the 1920's. I think even Biden likes her! Even after she called him on all of the negative things he said about Obama when he was running against him in the Primaries...and now,...changed his tune and now is singing Obama's praises. She was quick, informed, warm, articulate...You say she didn't answer questions...I recall Gwen Iifel commenting that Biden didn't answer some questions.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. You are so right. I could only watch about 5 minutes of that mindless babel (from either of them) before I had to turn of the TV in disgust.

She is very sharp, and quick witted too. I'm glad to have her on the ticket. It will be delightful for McCain Palin to take office in January. It's just what we need!

I loved Palin's performance in the debate. Another shining example of republican failure. She put another nail in McCain's political coffin, and I can't wait for the next Saturday Night Live skit!

So...I liked watching the interviews with people afterward. I thought it to be a bit amusing. Supporters of Palin kept saying how personable she was. More so than Biden. Sure, he knows his stuff, but he's been around a while and that's BORING! But I didn't feel the connection with Biden. So she may not know everything, but I feel I can relate to her more. And that is what I heard. So, throw away the facts, knowledge and experience. We need someone to "relate" to us. What is the "machine" thinking? Instead of people getting smarter, they have to "dumb" down for us? Ridiculous. And please don't mistake this for an Obama/Biden vote, because neither 2 party candidate will get my vote after the bailout "rescue" plan.
