You are right! This is no ones business. This is their life and their choice. Live and let live! |

Well, if people are watching the show, the Discovery Channel will pay them. I've never even heard of the show before, and I have no desire to watch it. But hey, FREE ENTERPRISE BABY!!! I guarantee you if the ratings weren't there the Discovery Channel would drop them like a rock! |

Thanks for the laugh! I was a kid when that show was on. Every Thursday night we had Groucho on. There wasn't much on tv back in those days. We only had 3 channels. |
Yeah, I remember hearing that on one of their shows. They never really say what he does, though, and he seemed to have a lot of free time working on that house. |

1 LOL Well said......... |

God bless this family as He has already done so. Children ARE a gift from God! No matter what the situation is they still deserve respect!

thank you for that lovely, thought out, speech but i think you seemed to have forgotten all of the thousands of people who die due to diseases, accidents, suicides, murders, mass-murders, etc. the only ones to blame for tax is the government |

There is nothing wrong with shopping for clothes at the thrift store. At least the parents take care of these children, they are loved, they have clothes on their backs, food to eat, a nice place to live. They're not abusing their kids or throwing them in dumpsters like half of America. You can see all this if you've ever watched the show. They do have chores but so what! It will only help them in the future to become responsible adults. I thought they seemed like a nice normal family, besides being a bit larger. I did not think it seemed anything like a cult at all. You all are making some awful rude comments even when some of you all haven't even seen these people. They are not on welfare or any sort of public assistance either. |
No wonder we have a generation of monsters. It's "sad" that people are thrifty and shop at second-hand stores? Kids who are required to do chores are "slaves?" What has this world come to? What's really sad is that people can't survive without putting themselves into debt so their kids can have the trendiest fashions and they themselves can keep up with the Jones'. What's sad is kids who've never been taught responsibility (why do you think we have 30 year olds living at home?) or to take care of themselves or anyone else. And we point fingers at people who are financially responsible that choose to have a lot of kids? I don't get it.

..how in the heck do you EVER have time to spend one-on-one time with each of these children?? I have 2, and barely have enough time to give each one individual attention that they NEED and DESERVE!!! I think they are PIGS !
That is not a very nice thing to say about your kids |
What????????, 18, Gob bless, who is the man who put them all there?
think of trying to support 18 kids?? not even superwoman could succesfully do that. i think its nice that the older kids are helping out |
More power to them. They are married. They aren't on welfare. They aren't living in government housing. Their children aren't in trouble with the law.
Who are they bothering? I wouldn't want that many children but, as long as you can handle it financially (as in I don't want to be supporting you whether you have one child or twenty) and emotionally (because it is a big job to raise even one child) then go for it! |
Come on enough is enough there has to be a time to stop having kids enjoy what you have. Don't keep having them i have 2 kids and that is alot i could not image 18 kids i would go out of my mind.
