That is just great. Some guy is loose with an AK shooting people but nobody saw anything.

When will the madness end? For the sake of the children please at least pass some laws to make those guns against the law. I could have predicted this state of events just as soon as they took God out of the schools and our money too.

do you honestly think that making guns illegal will stop violence? if you do your dumber than the criminals that use them. criminals dont care if they are legal or not. and as far as getting ahold of them its been proven over and over again that is not an issue for someone who wants to get one IE blackmarket. and as far as taking god out the schools what the hell does that have to do with anything? seriously do you believe that will stop the violence? i have a news flash for ya most people like that are predestined to be like that because of the circumstances they were brought up in. adding god to the mix is just a mass brainwashing. if god is the almighty and we are his children then dont you think he would want us to be able to think and act for ourselves. the bible cant even be translated properly because every different form of christianity twists the phrases in the bible to fit what they believe in. think before you post please.

my sympathy goes out to this family i hope they get this sob. Im so sorry for your loss. I hope you find peace in your life again. It is always a major tragedy when a child's life is taken from loved ones. It is not fair or right.

so what, nobody SAW anything with only a a very rough description of the shooter, but it for "sure" was an AK 47?

cut the scare tactics of saying a guy is running around with a machine gun.

If it was a REAL ak47 i doubt they would both be suffering with just a graze and a shoulder wound if they guy had unloaded a fully automatic rifle at them with a 30rd clip.

They would have both been just a pile of meat on the ground if that was the case.

Why does it always seem to be black on black crime? If you are not racist it seems like blacks are against themselves. Am I wrong on this thought?

An ak is not truly a machine gun. They are fairly weak when it comes to actual damage inflicted. He's lucky it wasn't a 30-6.

Pick them up and throw away the key, these kids have lost all respect so they get none, get rid of the menace of society.

Why is it that when there is gun violence you hear calls for more useless laws but, when there is a car accident people just blame the at-fault driver? Fact: The number one killer of teenagers is car accidents, yet there is no out cry for more laws, just the opposite. Talking on a cell phone while driving? Nope, can't ban that either despite the number of accidents occur. And before someone jumps on my case, yes I have a teenage driver who is strictly forbidden from using the cell phone while driving (she's not even allowed to have passengers till she has more experience), and my wife and I do not use a cell phone while driving either. I'm just saying get real. New laws will not stop this kind of stuff from happening. Look at DC, Chicago and other large cities with strict gun control laws, hasn't stopped it yet.

How do they know this is a AK. Just beacuse the round is a 7.62 x39 does not make it a AK-47. The SKS which is commonly used for deer hunting takes the same NATO round. The SKS is easy to purchase from any major hunting store. This is why the "assault rifle" ban is so messed up.

A shooter who does not have experience with automatic weapons would more than likely have very poor accuracy even at shorter distances so it is possible that it may have been a real one. Since the media likes to group any long rifle in with the ak-47 family, I would think that it was probably an sks or some other SEMIautomatic weapon.

Agreed, the round is not any more or less powerful because of the rifle it was fired from. It could have been a bolt action rifle and the bullet would do the same damage. I wonder if the recovered the round....
