HIV rates rise among Michigan young adults

9.7 cases every 100,000 isn't very many. But its probably spreading fast. I feel sorry for those that have this disease. I hope a cure is found. Nobody ever hears about it very much anymore. It should be talked about a lot more so people are aware of the disease.

People, especially young people don't think HIV will affect them. But it can.

I guess I still don't think of AIDS/HIV as that big of a threat. When only 26,000 new cases are added NATIONWIDE, more people die in car crashes yearly than that.

Cover the stump before you hump. As sexually educated as our young people are today, simply put, they KNOW BETTER. If you aren't behaving responsibly while having sex, then you probably shouldn't be having it.

AMEN TO THAT.

Out of all the sex ed these days it seems like having sex is still "no big deal". So many teens becoming parents, getiing STD's....etc. Its a scary world out there right now. Just stay away from it until your married!!

It is not a threat in general if you know the facts and are smart enough to protect yourself.
