Economic stimulus payment schedule revealed

dID ANYONE GET THEIR MONEY EARLIER THAN EXPECTED?

Filed jointly and did direct deposit and have a high 20 ending number. Checked the IRS web site yesterday and it was scheduled for deposit today, May 6. Just checked and it has been deposited.

must be nice we are low 20's and still nothing , hopefully it will be thier friday so much using online taxes that they reccomnend u to use

We all need to save this "stimulus" money JUST to pay for the added expense of GAS! Seems ridiculous to send us more money so we can pay out more money to something that shouldn't be so aggressively attacking our wallets!

I was excited to learn the economic stimulus plan was being released earlier than expectations, but I have not seen the promised schedule to be true yet. My SS# ends with "19" and I had automatic deposit in my bank for my returns. I should have seen my stimulus payment by 5/2/08 and did not. I thought perhaps it would take another business day to post in the bank and that is not the case as it is 5/6/08 today and still no deposit.

I was curious if others had the same issue. No one has mentioned anything in the news about the Fed not following the plan that is posted.

Well this stimulous payment isnt asking you to commute. Unfortunatley everyone hates the gas prices but they are not going to change. So I think this rebate isnt ridiculous - it is very helpful. If you hate the gas prices but still choose to commute - this rebate is going to help you. I still dont get how people dont realize that this is a bonus - we are not going to get taxed on it. Yes, many people dont like the state the economy is in right now - I am one of them. But, that is reality and Im sure this stimulous payment wasnt given to us so that we can degrade the government some more. It was given as a bonus and we all should be glad, otherwise the government should have just kept thier money

I JUST WANT TO COMMENT ON THE TAX REBATE THAT AMERICAN PEOPLE IS SUPPOSE TO GET . I MYSELF COULD USE THE MONEY BUT I OWE BACK TAXES AND I NO THAT THEY WILL TAKE THAT REBATE TOWARDS THE BACK TAXES WITH THE WAY THE WORLD IS TODAY AND IF THE GOVERMENT WANTS TO GET THE NATION MOVING AGAIN I DONT THINK IT,S RIGHT FOR THEM TO TAKE THAT MONEY. I NO THAT MONEY WOULD HELP ME WITH MY MONTHLY BILLS AND HELP ME WITH MY MEDICAL ILLNESS TO GET THE MEDICATIONS I NEED EVERYDAY . AM A DISABLE VETEREN FROM THE VIET NAM ERROR AND I,VE GOT ALS PLUS AM BATTLEING THROAT CANCER IN MY THRIOD GLADS AND FACING MORE OPERATIONS ON MY THROAT AND I DONT HAVE ANY INSURANCE OTHER THAN USING MY VA BENFITS AND I HAVE TO PAY FOR FOR MY MEDS FROM THEM BECAUSE MY ILLNESS ISNT RELATED TO THE WAR IN VIETNAM SO I HAVE TO PAY CO..PAYS PLUS OF 15.00 AND 7.00 DOLLARS PER EACH MEDICATION I TAKE EACH MONTH AND AM ON 13 DIFFERENT MEDS EACH DAY SO THAT REBATE CHECK COULD BE PUT TO GREAT USE FOR ME. NOW ACCORDIND TO THE WAY THEY ARE PAYING OUT THIS MONEY I WANT GET MIND( IF ANY) want be untill late may or june. but i dont expect to reciece any money from that rebate because i owe back taxes just about the same amount am suppose to get. so good luck to all of you who owe back taxes to the irs. this goverment is so mess up for the american people we need a good leader. thanks irs.

Was wondering a question... My husband & I owe a few hundred $$ in back taxes... will we still get our rebate according to the irs schedule? Or do you think it will be delayed?

our ss# is 22 and we still havent gotten ours. did u get yours this morning or in the afternoon sometime

Have you checked the irs website under "where's my stimulus payment?"

So much for direct deposit!!! If you had direct deposit for your returns but, had preparation fees deducted from your return...you get a mailed check for your stimulus payment!

At least I know now...Thanks for the tip to go to the IRS website for Where's my stimulus payment.

Upsetting? You really need to be happy that you are getting yours via direct deposit vs. paper check. Quit complaining.

Did you do direct deposit when you filed your taxes?

I have a question about the stimulus payment that was not covered. what if you had your taxes put on the h&r block emerald card? Do you get a paper check or will it go on the emerald card?

I don't know. Maybe they don't go by number. Maybe it's alphabetical or when you had your taxes done. I don't see any reason to get upset.
