HART, Mich.(WOOD)- A 91-year-old man was arrested on negligent homicide charges for allegedly causing a fatal accident in June.

Thomas Emery was arrested Tuesday for the June 16 accident that killed Carl Leroy Lentz. Authorities said Lentz, 62, was the front seat passenger in a car that was hit by a pick-up truck driven by Emery on South Oceana Drive at West M-20.

Lentz, from Pentwater, died shortly after at Hackley-Lakeshore Hospital. The driver of the car was taken to Spectrum in Grand Rapids for treatment. Emery and his passenger were treated and released at Hackley.

Emery is out on bond.

At what age do people get a on road driving test? Only 16? Some rules should change here..91..and still driving? Sad story.
