Summer cold: A popular term for hay fever. Although the symptoms of a "summer cold" may be similar to those of a real cold, the term "summer cold" is a misnomer. Unlike a real cold, it is not caused by a virus but by allergy. It is therefore also called allergic rhinitis, a runny nose due to an allergy.

Fever can exist with allergies; Sore throat a definite with allergies as allergies affect the entire upper respiratory system; Look at the bright side: YOU GET TO TAKE BENADRYL!!! Keep an eye on sore throat though: strep throat always a possibility, especially with all the little ones you have

They already replaced the spark plug wires and did a cleaning of the fuel injectors which didn't cure it. It only does it under load at low rpm. Once it's wound up a little, it smooths out. I'm still getting good mileage and it runs fine on the highway and local streets as long as I don't try to accelerate other than real slow at lower engine speeds.

rval3 wrote: <quoted text> Yes, but it is a transmission miss or a stalling miss; I used to work in a dealership, and this could be a twenty dollar fix or a thousand dollar fix Thar's the first I've ever heard of a "transmission miss". That must have something to do with an automatic transmission. My vehicles since 1991 have had manual transmissions. And a "stalling miss" sounds like anything that might cause the engine to stall...covers a wide range! LOL

Saturn a bread of there own, had a problem with my car thought my tranmission was going out and got out the owners manuel and started reading found out that my wire were causing the problem with my drivetrain. Presto checked the wires and one of them was loose, fixed the wire car ran great. Now on the other car the lesabre was acting funny thought tranny was bad on that, ended up being throttle postion sensor fixed the problem. Father in law thought his transmission was gone on his intrepid nope the fluid in the tranny contamanited changed the fluid it goes thats after he bought a 400.00 parts car. Becareful of the dealers unless you are under warrenty always get second oppinion. Since I work with parts and sell them I see and hear from alot of customers the storys, some you wouldnt evern believe. But anyways there are sensors on your transmissions that effect the operation.

Hey, 5 quackers! LOL that was what one of my pet ducks was named when I was a kid. I hope you feel better soon. Have a hot tottie! Take that and allergy meds and you won't care too much about feeling lousy. LOL
OK... all this car talk and talk of fixing cars reads like stereo instructions to me. hahahha Here is the massive knowledge I have of cars: 1) gas makes them go 2) change the oil every 5k miles 3) when a light goes on, take it to dealership 4) when OnStar send me the monthly diagnostics - I do what they tell me to do.
That's it! life is much more enjoyable for me!

If it's an automatic transmission. I love manual transmissions partly because they don't have all those sensors on them. I'm a firm believer in the KISS principle. The less sophisticated stuff there is on a vehicle, the less there is to go wrong with it. Some of the people workng for the dealerships are a trip, too. I had one not too long ago that tried to sell me a "transfer case fluid change". I had all I coud do to keep from cracking up as my truck is two wheel drive! That was almost as bad as the guy who tried to tell me that the overdrive in my '84 Camaro was in the torque converter! LOL

LOL Let me tell you something its scarey out there the people that work on cars. I'm not a mechanic but have been around it all my life so I do know some things. It scares me when a certified mechanic asks me how to fix something. The other thing is I see what some of these garages charge people to fix there cars and the mark up they do on parts unbelievable. Anyway I'm pretty honest on selling parts I dont screw the customer over like alot of other people do. I'm in the same boat as everyone else and it nice to be fair, but of course there are those ones that, just well you know what I mean. I try and stay with the cheap stuff but at the time I need a car really bad in the dead of winter to get to work so now I have a buick park avnue supercharged ultra all power.

Crossfire thanks for the welcome. I also went through this before. On the 3rd trip to the ER at St Joe's in Ann Arbor they finally got it right and did emergency surgery. The surgical RN later told me the abcess was the size of a Grapefruit and that I could have died during the night. Like most guys I put off doing anything about it till the last moment. I will NEVER do that again! Crossfire wrote: Happy Wednesday Everyone !!! Welcome regularguy :) You will like it here. I think my younger brother went through the same medical problem that you did. Ok since you guys did so well with the 1st question here's another. Why would hot water come out of my kitchen tap much slower than any other faucet in the house? Dosen't make any sense to me. Shouldn't they all have the same volume when turned on high?

alright, getting ready to wrap things up here. Hope you all have a good night. Regularguy, in answer to your question about hot water coming out slower, may be a water heater issue. We had a simular problem a few years ago, seems like there was sediment in the pipes or something to that affect and a new hot water heater fixed the problem. Till tomorrow all..
