Morning all! Beautiful bright and sunny here in Standale!

Outdoors Lover... go get um! Desperate times call for desperate measures! Several years ago I took the kids camping, and knowing that raccoons are very resourceful I placed a big rock on top of coolers and stacked them so that they couldn't be tipped... the rascals got the huge rock off the top and went about emptying the coolers. the next night I covered the coolers with a tarp and staked the tarp down... well the next night .... my aunt and I stayed up and waited for them in the dark.. she was a very good shot... pinged all three of them several times with bb gun... next night... no raccoons! They moved down the road (we were rustic camping... no electric/ water... had to bring in water) there next victims were not happy, but they never returned to our site!

Lol, that's great. We had one that was in our house while we were working on it. I think it's gone now. After catching the neighbor's cats in the live trap many times, I was ready to get the pellet gun out. Can't do that in town though.

Too late, I looked. I can't believe they lost it. I think it's time to bring some pitchers up from the minors to save the games. Send Zumaya and Rodney down where they belong.
Hear...Hear...You said it Jim.

And I just bought a new Tigers shirt yesterday.

LOL yes I still have the bird a very spoiled bird. Im not sure if she will leave she's become very dependent on me & thinks she needs to be with me 24/7. I did some research online & found that starlings make great pets & are very popular in england. They can also talk!
lol the raccoons have destroyed all my bird feeders & knock all the flower box's off my deck & they also know how to open the garbage can grrr. lol last night I saw them across the road so i snuck out the back door & hid behind a tree & watched the deck. Guess what running at them like a lunatic with a bb gun going non stop scares the crap at them! hopefully after a few nights of me playing gi Jane they will go away lol
I had heard that same thing about Starlings. Maybe you have yourself a new pet. Wouldn't that be cool if she could be free but still live right there to visit you everyday?

I hear that a cocktail of anti-freeze will take care of a racoon but I wouldn't have the heart to do it. We have a big fat one that has been coming everynight since spring. I put out a little bit of corn for him. It keeps him away from the house. I know, I know, feeding him just encourages his return but if I don't put the corn out he starts ransacking everything. The little beast is relentless. We have a SMALL cat door on our barn for our outdoor cat. That fat bugger managed to squeeze through it and get to the cats food. No more cat food left out at night. LOL

Oh my!! Soooooooo feel for you!!!! I have never been in the hospital cause of migraines but I do deal with them. I take a daily med for them now, and I feel much better now. I think they will need to up the dose because last month I had a migraine on and off for 5 days.
Hope you are feeling better soon!!

Thank you. I take all kinds of crud for mine including getting injections into my head. Nothing gets rid of them for good but they are much better now than they used to be. I had a stroke when I was 26 that left me half blind in one eye because of the migraines/meds. Never got my sight back.

My dad used to tease me and call me "Blinky". LOL Ever try to hang a picture and be blind in one eye? For some reason you can't see where to hang the wire or the nail.

I'm afraid that they will probably return. They have identified your deck as a scource of food.

The first night we set up the live trap we caught a very p!$$ed off Ferrel cat! I made the hubby take care of that one no way in hell was I opening that cage lol. We have caught a few of the raccoons but they have wised up to that trick.
That guy here in Holland said that the cats he caught were going nuts in the trap and took off like a shot when he opened the trap. The raccoons, on the other hand, were very calm in the trap and took their time exiting. But, yes, they do learn fast!

Just the thought of a trapped racoon frightens me. I live trapped one last year. He got in the trap in the middle of the night and that crazy thing bloodied himself trying to dig his way out. He was nasty and growling and jumping at me. I had to play like MacGiver and rig the trap with a looooong rope so as to free it and be a safe distance away. Never again, unless I have a suit of armor on. {{{{{{{}}}}}}}}}} (those are shivers) LOL

hey Brattus, you have my sympathy on the migraine issue, like mommaduck mine are "controlled" by meds now, one time I made a visit to the ER because the pain was so intense.
You were missed, hope you feel 100% soon
