I just read on 13's web site that Granholm is on a short list for possible Supreme Court nominees if Obama makes it to the White House. Anyone else hear anything? She is a disaster here in Michigan and someone thinks she will make a Supreme Court Justice? We have gone mad.

I heard the same thing from a friend last night. Apparently the thought is that the next President may have to appoint up to 4 Supreme Court Justices. My only question; because Governor Granholm is Canadian by birth, would she be qualified to serve? Does anyone out there know what the rules are regarding Supreme Court Justices?

I asked my husband if I heard it right last night. I honestly haven't seen any sort of positive judgement out of her, at least over the last 6 years.

I don't quite understand what makes her qualified, other than she's a democrat.

I think that may just be it Ms Angie, that she is a democrat. I can't possibly see any other reason why she would be considered. Someone better take a really good look at how she has run this state into the ground. I am so unbelievably ashamed to say that I voted for her. Never again. I learned my lesson. That is one of the reasons I no longer just vote party lines like I used to.

After the gutless, indecisive way she handled Kwame Kilpatrick's removal hearings, I can't believe anyone would appoint her judge of any court.

I don't think she's got any judicial experience

Good god, I had to leave Michigan to find a job and lose Granholm. You mean to say we could be stuck with this horrible leader for life! Does that mean I have to leave the freaking country to get out of her clutches? Please tell me this couldn't happen!!!

For all of those considering voting for Obama; Puting this thing (GRANDWHORE) on the supreme court would be like spitting in the face of all the citizens of the U.S.A..

Please tell us why you think she should be there?
Give me specifics. SHE HAS DONE NOTHING!!!!!!!!!

She was eliminating jobs when she was a lowly AG. She is a plant from Canada to destroy this country.

She could not have handled it any differently. It was a political time bomb. She knew better. It was something Detroit should have handled on its own. Detroit is very sensitive about big white brother or sister coming in to straighten things out. It had to finally get so bad & so embarrassing that they had to take some action. Mike Cox did, to his credit. End result was what she wanted, but she stayed out of the fray. Did not sully her reputation or her political capital. Very clever!

Good Day,

Jay, unfortunately yes. Keep in mind she was a lawyer before becoming govenor. However, she, to my knowledge, has never been a judge, which most certainly would hinder any nomination proceedings. Not having had the experience of being a judge I would think would be negative in nature.
