Actually the death penalty isnt found to be a deterant in the states in which it is legal. As far as over crowding goes, that has nothing to do with muderers and rapists, or others that may face the death penalty if it were enacted. Our prisons and jails are over crowded with drug offenders and other non-violent criminals.

I agree we should have the death penalty for cases like this. When we all have the chance to vote for a new govenor we really need to CHANGE things. From the death penalty to welfare reform to gang bangers to unemployment etc. We need to take back MICHIGAN!!!!

I disagree....perhaps if the justice system were a little less biased instead of always feeling sorry for the woman, this never would have happened. Perhaps Ken felt it was a better option, after his wife took out a PPO,likely tried to turn his kids against him, and was busy screwing her therapist, more than likely in HIS house...read the WHOLE STORY BEFORE you pass judgement..while what he did was wrong, it certainly doesn't warrant the death penalty....save that for the idiots in the jewelry store robbery in Grand Haven. deb from michigan wrote: I agree that we need the death penalty it would stop alot of people from these kind of crimes and stop the over crowding of jails and prisons its sad real sad story what one earth is this world coming to??

If killing your wife, covering it up to look like suicide, then lying to police, doesn't do it for ya.....please enlighten me. Oh I left out one thing...leaving her body there for HIS CHILD TO FIND! That is father of the year potential right there.

He was sentenced to life...but he still got away with murder. I invite anyone to read the gr. press article on this website and pay particular attention to the first comment posted by doyle011406. http://blog.mlive.com/grpress/2008/01/friend_... so sad....so so sad...It should never happened. That woman should have been protected and now she is dead.

I agree with the father, the Holland police department really drop the ball on this one. But what is done is done, he got put away forever thats what counts. Plus he is still playing games with the family, he knew they wanted something from him, so he denied speaking, that will show em. Frankly I don't mind paying tax dollars to keep someone like this in jail.

you will understand that it was Lori's house, her kids, and the jerk couldn't understand that! To write to people and say he has slept the best since he killed her according to the press, borders on sick! Sure his kids don't sleep well since there Mother was killed! When Lori took out the PPO, Holland Police Dept should of done something... May Ken have a real comfy place in prison...since most of the inmates hate cops! Sure he will sleep good there....
