Yes and the reason it is so hard to get that Law Degree is that you have to have MAJOR DOLLARS OR BE THE SON OF A FORMER STUDENT.....which do you think it was, just like Bush, Obama got in because of his father. The Mc 'SAME' in your scenario is the Ivy League Elitist, not MCain.<quoted text>
not ANY law CONSTITUTIONAL LAW and his FELLOW students elected OBAMMA(unbiased) president of his class @ HARVARD..........
is there a harder LAW DEGREE than that????
i DOUBT it..........
NOBDY has mentioned mcsame's educational background........i wonder WHY??????????

1 I think I saw Steve Doucy on Fox and Friends say that, I haven't seen CM say that. It was a joke, but most libs have no sense of humor. I will however say John Stewart was finally funny again on the Friday of the DNC. It's been awhile since he's been funny, really needs to be down the middle, or he just looks like another basher. |

1 Its funny because whenever some **** neo-con over at Fox or in some other media outlet says something completely stupid you pass it off as a joke or 'he was kidding'. Steve **** was serious, not joking. Nice try. Check mate. |

1 MarkLuxford, I must respectfully disagree. Although indeed we may be talking about small population centers, I believe the important point is that at least she has had true administrative experience. Obama has not. Let us make an apples to apples political career comparison. Obama Illinois State Senator 1997-2004 Illinois US Senator 2004-Present. Other employ included: serving as a civil rights attorney and community organizer. Palin PTA Mayor of Wasilla 1992-1996 Govenor of Alska 2004-Present Other employ included: chaired the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission from 2003 to 2004 while also serving as Ethics Supervisor of the commission. It would seem that they are pretty close in some regards and quite different in others. But I guess my point gets down to her having had more administrative experience than Obama simply being a lawmaker. That ultimately she was the one who has had to make descisions of administrative importance, but not so with Obama. Steelie |

1 One more point, with both Obama and Palin be painted as not having enough "experience"... what worries you more? The one who is a step away from the Presidency, or the one runninng for it? Steelie |

Good Day,
Idunno - We do not usually agree... however... One of my brothers got his undergard at Penn then went on to Law School at Columbia in NYC. And you are right, student loans and so on. My parents did not pay for it (grad school) he did. And furthermore, schools like Harvard can afford to give scholarship and other non-refunding aid to students as they have an estimated $28 billion, yes I said billion, in their endowment accounts. So you don't have to be wealthy to attend these schools. In fact, they seem care more about the intelligencia. If a kid from the "hood" applied to Harvard with excellent grades and extremely high to near perfect ACT and SAT scores, they could concievably get an educational scholarship no problem. Steelie |
As usual good post |
|
Yes admittedly, they allow more ethnic diversity, than they do class, but he got in because his father went there. And the Billions they have in endowments are not being spent according to the articles I have seen recently, they are being saved. They along with other universities (U of M)have been under much scrutiny lately for having such endowments and raising tuition on students. |

1 See Steelie's post #352....that should cover it nicely. My post was showing that Biden is a loose cannon, he can put his foot in his mouth at any given time. Is that who we want going to a table with Russia, the MiddleEast, etc? This is obviously a racial comment on his part. No tact, or finesse. |

1 QUIT SCREAMING...IT DOESN'T HAYULP TO SCREAM AND MISSSSPPEEELLL. Class? you think class is not part of society? As in poverty? Ivy League has been discriminating against class for a long time, but not against past family members- lineage- hence the Ivy League Elitist- Barack Hussein o'Bushama |

Good Day,
Thank you all for your kind comments. Look, I don't like calling people names, and really try not to, although I know it can be hard to not call someone an idiot,**** for brains, or imbecile, but I try. The theater of ideas is just that, and I try to read what other post without getting too out off control. You desrve to be heard if you act like an adult. Mark - indeed there is the concept of "legacy" that nearly all colleges and univeristies subscribe to, not to mention frats and sororities. Some times that can be the golden key, otherwise you might not get in with those less thatn desirable high school grades. idunno, again we do not agree much of the time, but the truth is the truth. But, I will admit however that even the truth can sometimes be skewed by perception. For example, two people standing next to each other on a street corner observe the very same accident. Yet, their perception of the "truth" may differ although they saw the exact same thing. Truth can be a slippery reality. Turtle, thanks for the bump! Like I said, which is more dangerous or worrysome? The one who is a step away or the one running for the position? If this were all based on experience, then should not the Democratic ballot be flipped? Biden for President and Obama V.P.? And Biden, if he is not careful, could pose problems for Obama for the very reason you stated. He suffers from "foot in mouth disease". Like I said before, it would seem to me that Obama is the bigger man for forgiving Biden about his devisive comments on Obama earlier in the year. But then again, Biden has probably already lost the Hindu vote... I kid. Or do I? Steelie |

1 Sarah Palin agrees with Bush and McCain that women who work the same jobs as men do not deserve to paid the same. Sarah Palin is anti-choice, is opposed to the use of birth control of any kind, including even condoms. She is opposed to the use of birth control by married couples even. She doesn’t believe in evolution. As a mayor, she injected her religious beliefs into policy at all times (affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of God). She is opposed to the Violence Against Women Act. She doesn't just talk the talk, she walks the walk. Her life choices reinforce her views on all these critical issues. Note: Her political career began 8 years ago when she was elected mayor of a very small town after receiving 909 votes. |

I will be very interested in hearing Palin speak tonight. I'm trying to keep an open mind but I keep thinking about McCains age and her lack of experience in Washington. If she had spent at least a little time in the House or the Senate I would be more confident in her. She looks to be an admirable woman but no time spent dealing with national or international issues.

And only a quarter of US citizens bother to vote. What is your point. |

1 This cupcake has some very disturbing beliefs, and is a direct threat to the separation of church and state. I don't see how anyone should take her seriously, though. Her being picked for VP was just a gimmick. |
Good luck with that. We will see after tonight...... |
