what a camera clown.....
She has to waste all that fuel to come here and sign it instead of just signing the damn thing at her desk.

The unions, Lansing and Detroit elected this wart-faced hog.....and they are the ones who are crying the loudest!

Let's hope a big tornado comes up and drops a house on this wicked witch or blows her back to Canada.

The state should stay out of the mortgage business and let the chips fall where they may. Many people who are having difficulty should not have been given a mortgage in the first place. Granholm is making a purely political move which will not be beneficial in the long run.

I'm wondering if she will take some tax money from other residents and use it to pay my credit card bill to. Why not let me purchase a car that I can't afford and have no back up plan for and let her pick up the tab on that too? Come to think of it, I'd like a new suit!

If there was some way to set up something like this to help those who were trying to get a reasonable home, I might agree with it. However, I have a problem with the idea of helping out those who overextended themselves to buy a McMansion and I can't see any way to differentiate between the two.

She believes in fairness and equal outcomes. She wants West Michigan to be like Detroit. Let the Market work!

It's hard to tell from WOOD-TV's incomplete article, but it sounds like this bill will help people refinance their mortgages to a more affordable monthly rate. It will not provide direct financial help to those in trouble.

I agree with Gentle Taz that there should be no help given to those who overextend themselves. They need to live in a cheap apartment for a while, get back on their feet and learn to live within their means. Sometimes life's lessons are tough.

Wow, I'm really impressed. Thank you Jennifer Granholm for your forward thinking and putting Michigan residents first. Michigan is moving in the right direction and we will come out on top and be the best in the nation, again, soon. Keeping the focus on housing and education will serve us mightily and reap great rewards. Again, Thank-you. Jennifer

We are getting "blown away" alright. Worst in the nation in unemployment and Detroit is worst in the nation in graduation rates.

Are you smoking crack? "Keep the focus on housing and education" - notice how every time Granholm speaks, there are all kinds of flowery promises and rhetoric but nothing specific that she is doing. Almost six years of task forces, commissions, and blue-ribbon panels to study every problem, and no real leadership from her. Granholm is a joke. She is clueless and she should be recalled. She and her ignorant supporters and union cronies have driven the state into the ground and attacked corporations, then demanded that those same corporations do business in this state. You can't demand that a business provide jobs to people in a state - that is what the Soviet Union did. If I owned a business in this state, I would be looking for ways to get out of Michigan immediately due to the suffocation from taxes, regulation, and vicious attacks from our own Governor. What a fool she is. Anyone who supports her is either delusional or ignorant - or both.
