Harleys Farm......This is true too, my son and his girlfriend went for a walk at night in the cemetary. They got over by my brothers grave. and saw him [ his spirit] Leaning against a tree, in his favorite clothes, cowboy hat, jeans, buttondown shirt, and his cowboy boots. Weird thing tho. he was smoking a ciggaret. also. I didnt think ghosts smoked.

I'm not sure that I think orbs are acually spirit energy- they sorta look like dust particles. What about "vortices" and other smoke like anomalies that turn up in pictures sometimes?

A house I lived in had some odd activity. "Ghost"... probably.

This "ghost's" activity was nothing more than grouping items in the house into groups of three.

It didn't matter day or night, 1 person or whole family home. It could be noon and you were the only one home. You would walk into the bathroom and find everything on the bathroom counter neatly grouped into groups of three.

Whoever discovered the arrangement would rearrange things how we had it, and then later come back (mind you still alone) and everything would be regrouped once more.

This happened in the kitchen, living room.. anywhere there were smaller objects... perfume bottles, nail polish, niknacks...

My mother figured the activity was caused by a ghost of an elderly woman that supposedly occupied the dilapidated house on the property.

It was a tale around the neighborhood that the silhouette of an old woman, rocking in a rocking chair, could be seen on the second floor of the old house. It was told that there would be a bright light in the second floor room, although the house had zero electricity. Heck the stairs to the second floor were so bad, I don't think anyone could have gotten up there without falling through.

My mother and I only lived in that house for about 9 months before moving back to the city. We never did see the old woman, but one night as we were driving home, we did see what we thought was a bright light upstairs in that old house. Who knows?

I guess OCD doesn't go away after death! I love your story. That poor lady probably loved the interaction with you guys. Kinda freaky, though! I guess I'd rather have a ghost mess with my stuff than me!

A couple times when I was younger, me and some buddies thought we would play with a Ouija Board (actually, homemade) and we were able to contact a few spirits. Now, granted, I know this is not good to do and believe me I had my doubts, but young and stupid kinda takes over. This one spirit in particular, when asked how he died, he spelled out cancer, we then asked him if he smoked, he spelled out yes, a friend of mine then placed a lit cigarette, butt down on the board, and to my absolute surprise and shock, this spirit took a "drag" off this cigarette, no joke, the cigarette actually burned with the drag. Now,I would not have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. Very creepy. Being older,I don't mess with that stuff.

The Oxygen Network featured my house which is right here in Grand Rapids, about ten years ago. The "ghostly" activity they featured was about the ball of light that floats through the house. Children were usually the ones who would see it. I hadn't seen it myself. I didn't doubt it but figured it was probably light reflecting off something. Finally, a few years ago after living in the house for many years I saw the mysterious ball of light. It was a blueish, soft ball of light that floated about a foot from the ceiling and drifted very slowly from one room to another. I remained calm and checked to see if there was anyway something could be making it happen. I reached up and put my hand near it but it didn't cast a shadow. There was no way it was coming from some other source. I sat down and watched it and waited to see if anything strange would happen. The ball of light disappeared into the living room wall, adjacent to the kitchen. I went in the kitchen to see if it was there but it was gone. I've haven't seen it since. Anyone else ever experience anything like it?

I remember my cousins and I had a ouija board over at our grandma's house back when we were in our early teens. We all sat around it, in the empty upstairs, our fingertips on the planchette, and one of us asked if there was anyone in the room with us.

At first nothing happened and we all smiled at each other, then the planchette jerked really hard. We all screamed, jumped up, and RAN downstairs.

And that was that. Never again.

When I see one I will believe. Cant explain this though-My sister thought her house was haunted, and I was house sitting with my girlfriend one night and we slept there. In the morning my girlfriend said the house was haunted and she could tell. I didnt tell her that my sister and her husband thought so too. When I told her she was mad I kept it from her. I never thought it was haunted or felt anything. I guess I am out of touch with the ghosts

My husband would LOVE to see, feel, or hear a ghost, but he never does. It's not that he's more rational than others, I don't know why he can't. He's too smart to say "I can't see them so they're not there," he just keeps of believing and hoping someday he will.

I guess just like some people are left handed and some aren't, some people can sense ghosts and some can't.

My aunt and uncle used to live in a farm house out in Yankee Spring and when they were moving out my uncle took a picture of a mirror that was in the bathroom and in the mirror you can see a old man who is see through with turn of the century clothing on. On other ocassions my cousin would walk into his bedroom and his match box cars would be floating in the air like someone was holding on to them. Pretty crazy stuff. They still have the picture it is very interesting.

I watched part of that show... but Yvonne and her mediums just crack me up to much. They scream with British accents, "Ahhh! Someone just touched my hair!" and "I feel a presence, sitting right in this chair..."

I'm sorry, I like the show and they do get some good stuff, but I think I'd rather watch Ghosthunters.
