22-year-old guilty of killing infant

I sure would like to shake that guy to death.

This is an all to familiar story these days,some thug, no where a man, that can't take the sound of an infant crying. The baby is in heaven but will never be forgotten by her family.

Oh if we could only have 'an eye for an eye'.

A laid back young guy??? What does that mean? He's a bully, coward, thug and a murder? Please tell what his defense was against an 8 month old. No winners? Do you think this is Let's Make a Deal?

I only knew Jeff from the Gas Station that he was employed. He seemed like a very nice guy and from the other employees they were pretty shocked and it seemed to be out of character. This whole story is just too sad.

Ahhhh yes...isn't it a B-E-A-U-tiful world when mothers have their boyfriend of 4 months move into the home and leave their children in their care???

What's the matter with people? These mothers who leave their precious children with their boyfriends must have some idea that these men can't take care of them. An innocent baby is dead because of irresponsibility. It makes me sick!

I hope it's not for just a while, he took the life of a helpless infant. He is not a nice guy, there are many nice guys in the world, they do not kill babies, he is not one of them. I think it is unfair of you to group him with the responsible young men in this world.

i dont know how anyone could call this guy nice after he killed a poor innocent baby,i wish i could shake the crap out of him,how could anyone defend this crime?????????? so what if his family is hurting cause hes going to prison, at least they still get to see and talk to him,the mother of that baby will never hear her cry , laugh,see her walk , talk.soooo sad.i only feel bad for the babys family. i hope he rots in prison,i hope those inmates give him a taste of his own meds.

I get so sick of idiots who've never worked in a prison saying "Bubba will take care of it." FYI Bubba doesn't take care of **** in prison! I know because I work for one! It all depends on the area and location of the prison you work at, but most prisoners just try to get by day to day. Even nice people have bad days...and that obviously had a really bad day. Infants are hard to take care of, and if you have never had one yourself you don't know what to do sometimes. I'm sure this guy feels extremely guilty for what has happened. Although we don't know him, he's already been judged by the courts...

It sounds like your defending this animal. I've had three infants and there are days when you feel like you've had enough, but step outside, call someone for help. Common sense not to shake an innocent little baby.There are absolutely no excuses in this case. My prayers are with the family of this precious baby.

Wendy, he did not have a "bad day", he brutally murdered an 8 month old baby. I doubt that your ignorant opinion is shared by many of your co-workers, or even the other prisoners. If you can in any way attempt to justify this crime then you should not be working in a prison.
It is only a matter of time before you fall in love with one of the other poor lads in there who just had a bad day and start bringing him drugs or assisting in his escape.

Do you work in a prison or the county jail? Minimum or maximum security? There is a big difference. Based on your bleeding heart attitude, I doubt you work in a prison (max). In a real prison, those who have hurt a child are on the bottom of the feeding chain. Inmates don't like child killers, not for any reason.

You're sure the guy feels guilty. Really? How are you so sure about that?? Did you know that right after this occured, he stated to the police that he 'just didn't want to go to jail for something stupid'. That translates to "I don't wanna go down for some stupid kid that wasn't even mine". Yep, nice guy.

All nice people have bad days, but they don't generally murder over it. Your comment shows you are nugatory.

I'm sorry, but nice guys do not kill innocent babies. He may be a nice guy to adults and his friends, but he was not nice when he was responsible for the safety of a young child.

I will pray for the family of this young baby.

ok wendy get a clue, every day is a bad day for me but I don't go shaking my kids, Im surprised by some of these comments in here, he is a killer plain and simple and its a damn shame we don't have the death penalty here! Maybe you should open your eyes in that prison maybe thats why you have not met bubba yet!

There is no defending the actions of this murderer so WMR resorts to name calling and requesting oral sex from anonymous posters on a message board. I would not leave small children alone with him either. Judging by the tone of his posts I believe he is probably a family member of the child killer. Birds of a feather.

Well for your information missy I was mom & dad for the first 30 days after my daugther was born. and second of all it showed on actual case files a guy beat a another inmate to death for doing just what this nice guy did, sounds to me this one you'd get along with nicely, possibly bubba too.

Let's pray for all the families involved. My heart goes out to all of them. Say what you will about Jeffrey, those of us who know him are praying for him. He was one of my students when he was in high school, and I talked to him regularly when he was working at the gas station.
