My children are given every chance to learn which is why I have moved to an area that promotes education, NOT indoctrination. Other schools have been called on the carpet by me for trying to indoctrinate my children into their polical beliefs like they are fact, not personal beliefs.

Don't believe me about charter schools? Call and find out how they handle Special Ed programs. Would you like a list of schools to call on?

Same with Private schools. Not all of them have the capabilities or capacity to handle special ed services.

And I wasn't tugging at any heart strings. I was commenting on your callus ill informed dumb arsed remarks about all kids going to private schools. Private schools are not for all kids. Like GR Teacher says, a nun who's good with a yardstick is not going to be able to get every kid to learn.

NOT all public schools are failing. In fact I know of a few that are actually better than the private schools.

The only person who has called anyone out is are the ones that called YOU out.

1. Renters pay rent so landlords can pay taxes. How nice of you to exclude a large group of people from citizenship.

2. I do not think we have ever discussed where I live and more to the point it does not matter? I mean what is the point?

3. Your reaction is entirely emotional. Yes there is great relevance to whether I own a home, rent a home, or I am homeless to this discussion.

No one said all public schools are failing. All but 2 GRPS Middle and High Schools are failing. If you are a GRPS student not going to City, you are in a bad school. Many of the El Ed schools are doing well. That is nice, but Big Whoop when the kid hits middle school.

I do not need to poll EVERY Charter to see you have your own prejudices which you viciously express here as if these schools are somehow inferior...The testing shows otherwise.

You made the blanket statements which are beyond preposterous. Did you call all of them and find out they stop caring about the special ed kids being there after count day? WHAT IS YOUR SOURCE OF INFORMATION?

If the GRPS teachers strike, we might be in for a very long strike. I also personally think Bernard Taylor should lower his salary - he sure is not worth what he makes! He makes almost as much as the president of the United States makes, and no superintendent is worth that much.

I know how to check the assessor's office just as easily as anyone else.
Facts:
1. You don't deny you rent (that's wise).
2. It does matter where you live, because you have represented yourself as a GRPS taxpayer, a "boss" of the teachers, the board, the Union, and Superintendent.
3. My reaction is rational, not emotional. All information is public.
4. I have no desire to know you. After the way you treat people here, I would rather take up with my worst enemy than consort with a win-at-all-costs pot-stirrer like you.

I'm not sure what the school board is warning teachers about. Detroit warned their teachers before they went on strike back in 1999. GRPS wouldn't do a thing if the teachers went on strike. The Governor and/or a state mediator would step in and make everything OK. Detroit teachers made concessions to help offset budget problems over and over with no thanks from the school board. It's all just a bunch of words and idle threats.

I think it is a chess move letting the teachers know what their responsiblities are....

Helder will not get large numbers to walk out. They can fire the clowns who walk.

It strikes me, the more you protest, the more right I am about you. It didn't take but 5 minutes on Google to gather what I did about you from the information others (and yourself posted).
