Exactly. Both are saying what we want to hear b/c it's being discussed by the media pundants. Neither are s.p.e.l.l.i.n.g. out what they would actually do to make those changes.

I am sadden at the lack of respect bon jovi has for this great country of ours. he should not be involved
with any political side. there are many other organizations that could use his fundraising. I for one will not be buying bon jovi tickets.

About 4 years ago Sarah Palin was the state's chief regulator of the oil industry for 11 months. She quit about 3 years ago because she didn't like the corruption. Then the **** hit the fan..

a) the trolls from the GOP, the far right wing storm troopers and the friends of Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly simply googled Jon Bon Jovi forum and found this place. They're here to post inflammatory insults, rarely based in fact or common sense (and clearly lacking intelligence, wit or simple internet-based online etiquette) and you're taking the bate. They're here to cause trouble. They have little else to do and they're winding you up and you're letting them.
b) Jon - if anyone has done ANY reading at all - has been a vocal supporter of the Democratic party since his very high profile support of Gore in 2000. And he's been very careful to not use his concert stage as a pulpit, has not shoved his personal political opinions down the throats of concertgoers who have paid to see a Bon Jovi show and not a political campaign PSA.
c) If you've typed that Jon Bon Jovi is a has-been, you're an ill-informed moron.
d) If you've used this forum to bash illegal immigrants, find another place to troll. You're entitled to your opinions but you're leaving ****-stained footprints behind so please, leave.
e) If you've come here to insult the British or Australian or anyone else who frequent this board, you're simply not welcome here.
e) American politics -- both parties, both sides of the aisle, needs reform, especially in fundraising but nothing is illegal and if you have the money you're entitled to spend it in whatever way you choose.
f) there is no performance. it's dinner and a meet and greet and while I personally can't imagine a time when I'd have that kind of money to spend on any one thing, if I DID have that kind of money and it was important to me (to support the DNC, not to have my picture taken next to Jon Bon's toilet) then it would be worth it to me.
g) Stop taking the bait -- these adolescent and hateful morons are out in full force all over message boards of any 'celebrities' who are known Democratic supporters...$20 they're leaving digital skidmarks all over websites for Bruce and Mellencamp and Oprah and anyone else that has the audacity to speak out and support a candidate, like any other American has the right to do.
h) We're one generation away from Mike Judge's prophecy of IDIOCRACY coming to pass if these moron's ability to type online is any indication. God help us all.
Look out for my footprints. Illegals are not wanted in the USA. I guess I'll go troll now.

a) Please carefully proofread before you post. I believe you wanted to say you were 'saddened'- which you're not. you're just retyping whatever talking points you were asked to post on message boards for artists supporting Obama.

b) You clearly are ill-informed with regards to Mr. Bon Jovi's extensive fundraising, charitable efforts, philanthropic accomplishments and his non-profit foundation's mission and projects.

c) Your presence at a Bon Jovi concert won't be missed. It's unlikely you'd have purchased a ticket anyway. You are one of many foot soldiers who enlist in an online battle to make it SEEM like there is some sort of backlash among 'fans' to a celebrity's endorsement or support of a candidate... when in fact you're creating a fake backlash by claiming you DID care about him and now you don't. You are no different than the people who write into TV networks and companies demanding action be taken in response to an 'offensive' episode, script or TV commercial, threatening boycott and more negative press coverage... when in fact, it's the same small collective of bored, angry people spamming and harassing the network and/or company until you browbeat and blackmail them into giving into your abuse.

Be gone, troll.

Also, to proclaim that Jon Bon Jovi has a 'lack of respect for this great country of ours' might be the single most moronic, illogical, baseless, off-target and factually inaccurate statement posted on this message board in a light year.
The more you type, the clearer it is how little substance your post has and what your agenda is.
So sad.

Every American Citizen has the right to vote and campaign for what they believe in. That is what being an American is about. It doesn't matter what his political choice is, he can vote how he sees fit and we will vote how we choose. That is our right and his right. It has nothing to do with his style of music. Whether he believes in Obama, McCain, or joe blow, his music/concert ability is what it is--that will stay the same. Jon has said many times that he gets involved because he wants to see change and he wants others to get involved in the election process--no matter how you believe.

You are pathetic. Is his entire presidential legacy going to be based on his indiscretions with women? Well, guess what, he wasn't the only one to have a fling at Casa Blanca. How about FDR, JFK and no doubt countless others? Bill Clinton was a good president whether you want to admit it or not. I personally haven't felt "safe" since he left office. Hillary forgave him and that's good enough for me. Let's just get over Monica Lewinsky already, it's been eight years for crying out loud. Oh and by the way, Frank Sinatra, we are women not broads!!!

This statement struck me funny. I have heard Jon refer to women as broads in interviews before (Australia 2008)and on stage (during the This Left Feels Right performance in Atlantic City). It must be a Jersey thing.

You tell them, mmcan43. Broads sounds so bad.

Everyone has their own political opinion & that is the right that our wonderful country gives us. No need to call people names.
