i agree with taking liscense away from seniors or haveing to take a mandatory test every 5-10 years to see if you are still a good enough driver to be out in the road...the fact he didnt have his headlights on is upsetting but i no it was not completely his fault...feel better prestons and clawsons
i miss you

The investigation does not find the driver at fault. So the comments about taking away senior citizens' licenses is unfounded here. Witnesses say the kids were weaving in and out on the road. It was dusk, and the patch of road where they were hit is between street lamps. They were wearing dark clothing, and the driver had one second to react. Do the math. The community sends support and prayers to the families of these boys and also to the driver of the minivan who is, no doubt, devastated.

I live in Juniper Farms, the neighborhood where the accident occured. A few weeks ago I corresponded with the Freehold Township Administrator, Mr. Antus, in email, concerning Freehold Township Police patrol cars that speed on andorra terrace, with the headlights off, going over 50 mph, in the dark. I have seen this dangerous act by the police many times over the years and recently. Children are always walking up to the park, or on their bikes, or even people bringing the garbage cans or recycling down to the road. Mr. Antus expressed no concern over a car going 50mph with its head lights off, in the dark, on a quiet neighborhood street. Furthurmore he told me the Freehold Township Comittee does not care about this. HE EXPRESSED NO CONCERN OVER THE POTENTIAL FOR AN ACCIDENT OR POTENTIAL FOR THE LOSS OF LIFE. It now is clear to me the Freehold Township Comittee, Mr. Antus, and the Freehold Township Police have no concern for our children or our neighborhoods!!!
