I have been watching **** since her days in Washington DC and always appreciated her style and delivery. She is an asset to NBC. To even consider firing her for using a word that other than the word "like" is probably one of the most frequently used words in American vernacular, is absolutely ridiculous! If you want to complain about what's OBSCENE and OFFENSIVE, how about the American soldiers being sacrificed in Iraq? Let's get our priorities straight and stop obsessing about a slip of the tongue by one of our better TV anchors.

Pressure to be "politically correct" in every single second of our lives is not only unnatural but unrealistic as well. Being held up to a standard (which is an impossible standard)is just inviting trouble. The word exists. The word will continue to exist and there is nothing anyone can do to stop it. Pretending it doesn't exist, and making people tow the line, does not make it go away. It's absurd and it's unfortunate.**** does not have to be "perfect" for me. She's human and that's good enough. Fire her? For something unintentional? No way. She's the best!

When I lived back east, she used to be one of favorites along with Michelle Marsh at CBS. I don't know what exactly happened since I don't live in that area any longer, but for some blurb an expletive like that I think it's fine. Ok she is not a saint but hey no one is perfect. She should be more careful next time. Sign of the times.
