Baring All About Sandy Hook's Nude Beach

Hey All, I think that this is great. I have been an avid naturist for most of my life, and it is great to see that mainstream news is finally covering this information. I have been running a nude social group for men in the Hudson Valley for the last two years - check us out online - just google Hudson Valley BARES.

I look forward to seeing all my nude friends on Sandy Hook - or in the Mohonk Preserve here in New Paltz sometime soon!

I love Gunnison Beach. The people there are so much respectful of each other there than any other NJ beach by far. And yes, I do get naked. So does my girlfriend.

that NBC has to fuzzy out the nudity at 11PM to show it on TV...America needs to grow up...get over itself and its stupidity...but clearly we are far off when **** closes out the section asking "have you ever been to a nude beach? DO YOU THINK THEY SHOULD EVEN EXIST?"

I've been going to Gunnison for 21 years.. it is the most peaceful beach I've ever been to. people of all walks of life enjoy each other, the sand surf and sun.

I too go to a clothing optional beach in the metro area (not saying where...) but would NOT appreciate you coming by to do a report. Not that I care about being seen nude or even having my naked bod spread out on TV or even the Times, hell - I am too old to care about that! It's that you have just increased the 'Gawker Factor' by a power of 10. Regarding my beach, most people who live within even 5-10 miles of it do not even know of it's existence! Thank you for not naming them all, but I hope this report will not encourage religious whacko's, neo-moralists and other losers looking for a 'boutique' cause to rally around. Jeez, Louise!

I tried to go to Sandy Hook but I had an erection for 3 hours and it was embarassing. The older people there did not have their diapers on so their "leakage" filled the waters with fecal matter.

Happy to know there is a c/o beach in NY..!!

My husband and i make the trip from pennsylvania once a month and totally enjoy it.... wish we would have more younger people like us( early 30s) enjoying this lifestyle and help keep it going

Finally, a straightforward story on naturism! If only they could all be this matter-of-fact about it. Most other news sources could take a lesson from WNBC on how to do a news report. Congrats!

Great story, made me smile. I am glad to see that there are still places Americans can go to sun in the buff. The people they interviewed seemed so friendly and nice. I am thinking of joining them. Thanks NBC for a positive story. And a shout out to the guys just watching, Join in!

Great to see a positive TV piece on the simple fun of being nude. No moralising, no inuendo, no smarmy remarks. It's a great way to relax and enjoy the sea, the sun...and the body you were born with. Enjoy.

Great article ... so nice to see someone talk about naturism like an adult and not like a giddy pre-teen. If people would just give it a try they would realize how freeing and natural it is. Nude is not lewd, we are not going to do anything that will corrupt you or your kids. We would just like space in this world to live like we please. Thanks again for shining a good light on our life style.

I started going to Gunnison Beach when i was a kid, and watched it grow over the years. its the place where i learned there is no good naked or bad naked, only naked. Be natural be free. Mom still goes all the time even in her err um 60's.(sorry mom)

I have known "Mayor" bob most of my life and its Great to see him get some credit, he stared it all way back when =)

NUDE BEACH at Sandy Hook:
Way to go NBC4 for being brave enough to cover the Sandy Hook nudist beach scene. I am sure your viewers were disappointed to find it's as normal as apple pie there. And I am almost sure they loved hearing of it at the same time. It's only 'natural'...it's a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in the sunshine.
