It doesn't matter if the criminal was black or white. The point is an elderly woman was attacked. That's the crime. Not all black people commit crimes, and not all white people commit crimes.
Whatever the person's race, he should be strung up in the middle of Times Square and all elderly people should get to whack the crap out of him. No trial, no jury, just straight street justice. ANYONE who attacks the elderly or children is a coward.
Stop worrying about the race. Because from where I sit, there are criminals in all races, whether its white collar crime or blue collar crime. Crime has no color.
