bigbill is not an idiot. He is right.Another car closer to the scene should of went if it was that bad.You also don't speed without lights and siren. He could of killed the people in the truck and they are the ones with the tickets.COPS are never wrong.Only we always are right. How can you yeild for a cop coming right at you.If it was a regular accident the cop car would of been charged, but no cause it's a cop.they think they are god.

I hate to say it, but I always see Police Officers, at all levels, local, county, and state speeding. In a lot of cases with out lights and/or siren. I've literally seen them speeding, then turning lights on to pass cars, and once passing shutting them off. Then a short distance away spotting them going into a a local eating establishment. Usually I will find one or more other patrol cars there as well. I've seen this type of activity numerous times.
I think they get so use to being the law that they forget they are not above the law. They abuse it, again and again. Odd's are that they will eventually get caught.
My take on this is they were speeding (to a call they claim). Got into an accident, and because they didn't have their lights going they realized screwed up. One officer purposefully discharges his pepper pray in the car, to substantiate their claims.
They just needed to tell the truth from the beginning, there would have been less fallout.
All because they were speeding in a non emergency situation.
The pick-up drivers was ticketed. It's time to give one to the Officers and punish them for filing a false report...they've been caught!!!

The Officers involved in this incident were responding to a call in their District of a man barricading himself. This is a high priority call because it can become very hazardous, very quickly and requires all available District units to respond. The Officers could have been in a 2-man car for a number of reasons. There are 2-man special detail cars, one Officer could be transporting another Officer from someplace i.e. the Seneca St Garage, or most likely it was a sector car with a recent graduate from the Academy with their FTO (Field Training Officer). That could also explain why the CAP spray was discharged. The new holsters for the CAP are very stiff and don't shift with body movements very well until they're broken in. The Officer's body movement in the car could have caused the holster to get hung up on the apparatus between the seats unsnapping the hold-down, exposing the trigger and setting it off. Obviously the Officers were attempting to get to the scene as quickly as possible and if their lights were on I can't say. But being the car was a flat-top, the emergency light bar is inside at the top of the windshield, any witnesses may not have noticed the lights on unless they were in front or behind the car. The siren is a warning device and used to notify upcoming traffic that an emergency vehicle is approaching. It is used mostly in heavy traffic and at intersections and is not required to be operated with the light bars.

How much would it have cost if the cop killed the other guy? Or if the broken gas meter ignited and burned down a couple of homes? If the cops are going to speed they ought to have lights and sirens.

IF IT WAS YOUR RELATIVE LOCKED IN THE HOUSE THREATENING TO KILL HIMSELF THE POLICE COULDN'T GET THERE FAST ENOUGH! THE OFFICER WAS COMING FROM A STABBING AND RESPONDING TO THE COLORADO ST. CALL. ACCORDING TO THE REPORT, THE DRIVER OF THE CAR ADMITTED TO SEEING THE POLICE CAR LIGHTS ON, IF THE BPD HAD A MEDIA PERSON WHO KNEW POLICE WORK YOU IDIOTS AND THE MEDIA WOULD HAVE NO STORY.EVERY NOW AND THEN A PEPPER SPRAY GOES OFF, A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO AN OFFICER SUSTAINED SOME PRETTY SERIOUS BURNS TO HIS STOMACH WHEN ONE DISCHARGED IN HIS CAR. THERE WERE 2 OFFICERS IN A ONE MAN CAR BECAUSE IT WAS A DETAIL CAR TAKING CARE OF TIPLINE COMPLAINTS IN BETWEEN ANSWERING 911 CALLS. THERE WERE NO CARS CLOSER TO ANSWER THE SUICIDE ATTEMPT BECAUSE C DISTRICT IS A VERY BUSY DISTRICT AND EVERYONE WAS TIED UP. I THINK THAT ANSWERS ALL OF THE STUPID COMMENTS ABOVE.
LIKE I TELL ALL THE ROOKIES, "THE PUBLIC WILL ALWAYS JUDGE,AND IF YOU THINK THEY LIKE COPS YOUR JUST FOOLING YOUESELF"
LIKE I TELL THE PUBLIC, "TRY WALKING A MILE IN MY SHOES BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR STUPID COMMENTS"

Real tough job. High and mighty tough guys. Right.
You incompetent boobs. You have no shame and respect for anyone, but yourselves.
We have soldiers who are getting crippled, and killed in Iraq and Afgahinstan making one-fifth (<$20,000)of what you make, big bad boy, so I don't want to hear any of your crap on how tough your weasely job is.
You know these cops get away with everything.
They are way overpaid and exaggerate the danger they're in.
They think that they're all powerful with that badge and gun, but their wimps without it.
They do drugs, steal and beat their families.
They beat suspects and get way with it.
They run into houses with their cars and say they're lights were on and make up some pepper spray excuse.
They use heroin in jail as guards and get one year probation. Get real.
They get NO respect because they earn none.
You forgot faking injuries to collect a full check and work a second job off the books and tipping off dealers for bribes and hitting on the wh0rz for freebies. Remember the ones who investigated a burglary at a deli, and got caught on tape stealing snacks? 100,000 a year and they steal chips and soda.

This stunt will likely get picked up by a national wire service sooner or later. That sure will make Buffalo look good.

Years ago in NT, two brothers were a fireman and a city cop. They hit each other driving vehicles from their respective departments! Plenty of dumb to go around.

If you really are a cop, you are a ****-poor example of one. You likely suffer from small man syndrome (also small d!ck syndrome)!

Some people believe that because someone gave them a uniform that they are somehow better than everyone else (clowns).:-)

Truth be told, anyone who wears a uniform as part of their job/career is lower middle class at best, no matter how much tax-payer assistance money they take in.
