The kid should of answered the officer,
kids in the area have NO respect for any authority figures. The parents need to be more active in the childs life. But you know the parents will try sue the police department because their wise **** kid couldn't answer a simple question.

A thirteen year old kid at six feet? Am I missing something here? I honestly think something isn't kosher here. But things have a way of coming out in the end, like maybe he instigated it?

You people are all sick. Regardless of how much disrespect a teenager, who is just a kid, gives a cop, they don't deserve to be beaten.
I do agree that he shouldn't have been so disrespectful and that he should have just given his name, but to do what the cops did is just sick.
They are overusing their power excessively and if I was that kid's parents, there would be some accountability.
I was a mouthy kid, to parents and authority, but not once got attacked by pathetic police officers. Think someone needs some anger management courses, and it's not the kids.
you obviously just got mouthy with the wrong ones cause i woulda knocked your head off your shoulders

GOOD POINTS FED UP, HOW LONG ARE WE GOING TO MAKE EXCUSES FOR KIDS WITH VIOLENT BEHAVIORS. WE NEED TO START TEACHING THESE KIDS THEIR INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIORS HAVE A RECOURSE! STUDENTS IN SCHOOL ARE SUPPOSE TO FOLLOW THE RULES, THUS LEARNING THAT LAWS MUST ALSO BE FOLLOWED! OBVIOUSLY THIS KID CAN'T EVEN GET THROUGH A SCHOOL YEAR. MAYBE INSTEAD OF TELLING THE POLICE THEY DIDN'T NEED TO KNOW HIS NAME, HE'LL THINK NEXT TIME. HE GOT WHAT HE DESERVED, MAYBE LESSONED LEARNED, I GUESS ONLY TIME WILL TELL. SO, NEXT TIME YOU GET PULLED OVER FOR A ROUTINE STOP BRENDA TELL THE OFFICER HE DOESN'T NEED YOUR LICENSE AND REG BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG! QUIT MAKING EXCUSES! LET KUDOS TO THE NF POLICE!

Do you people live in America or in Red China?

Even assuming the kid was disrespectful, it's insane to taser him and choke him and beat him. I mean, let's say the kid used hateful profanity to the cops. Let's even say he flipped them off and mooned them and called them pigs. Cops are supposed to be grownups. They're supposed to handle things in a calm, mature, reasonable way.

Let's all remember what Dalton had to say in "Roadhouse":

"If somebody gets in your face and calls you a c***sucker, I want you to be nice. Ask him to walk. Be nice. If he won't walk, walk him. But be nice. If you can't walk him, one of the others will help you, and you'll both be nice. I want you to remember that it's a job. It's nothing personal."

Amen, Dalton, Amen.

Alright, for all of you who are blaming the kid, why don't we just follow the rules for disrespectful and disobedient kids as laid out in the Old Testament? Would that make you happy?

Wow, you people are absolutely disgusting. Beyond redemption. You have all sacrificed your humanity to authority worship. Defending grown men physically abusing and electrically torturing a child of 13. You talk about respect? Where is the respect for the kid's human rights? Where is the respect for the Constitution that uniformed thug swore to uphold and defend?

The Second Amendment was designed to ensure the people had the means to defend themselves from this kind of brutality and abuse, but it's clear to me that our rulers have, through their tightly controlled corporate media and their brainwashing public "educational" institutions, thoroughly expunged any vestige of independent thought or empathy for others. So, the government (merely a word for people who rob and bully others and call it virtue) need not fear the people at all! No, because the people, rather than rise to the defense of this young victim of state-sponsored violence, would rather rush to lick the soles of his oppressor's jack-boots, and whimper about "respect" when they really mean fear.

All your groveling will not purchase your safety from these vicious brutes. Surely, they will stomp on you as quickly and remorselessly as they did this child when the time comes, as if you were roach scuttling across the floor. I leave with the words of a wiser man than I...

"Power is not a means, it is an end.... How does one man assert his power over another ... By making him suffer. Obedience is not enough. Unless he is suffering, how can you be sure that he is obeying your will and not his own? Power is inflicting pain and humiliation.... A world of fear and treachery and torment, a world of trampling and being trampled upon, a world which will grow not less but more merciless as it refines itself.

If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face--for ever."

Channel 4 has sunk to new lows with this lowbrow report.
Did you idiots over there actually listen to what this kid told police?
He disobeyed an officer's request, and I am sure he was such a good boy when the officer told him to halt.
He got what he deserved, period. Go figure his cracked out mother is whining on the news. Oh, where's the kids father?? Yeah that's what I thought.
Channel 4 start reporting real news or get bent.
They only reported anything because it happened to white people.
