nsa - the most secretive group known (equal the the cfr) suddenly lets abc news that conversations were being 'improperly' monitered, which violates the 'fisa' bill.
shock, outrage, and fake whistleblowers starred in this bs. economic chaos (fake), an embarrasing pres election, and the nsa is is giving us a peak. be a good american and thank them for the honesty. |

lil jim - awesome retort. national security agency - there is a reason you aint ever heard of them.
|
|
What makes you think you're so special to have heard of them yourself? Not really a "secret" agency. They keep a really low profile for a reason. I personally know someone who works there, and was interviewed for a character reference for him. Your safety depends on their being 'below the radar'. |

there is no argument. what the h.ll. are you beefin at, my man. trick question - what does your friend do? oh - and this. they pick there employees - they don't need character references, you astonishing stupid collection of tissue (that helps you walk, speak, choose, and other neat stuff) and molecular activity that collectively
creates life. i assume human in your case, you bored, argumentative, eternally adolescent fraud. |

Every employee of the NSA requires a security clearance which therefore requires character references and background checks. |
|
the background checks are done before the (future) employee even knows. they pluck from navy seals, army rangers, and the like. of course they need security clearance. i am aware. but character ref's? nope. there are no secrets that a neighbor or ex-boss - inluding the chief of police or the local fbi office - can be of help.
you are chosen, and everything else is a formality. i love the 'leaks' that report crap like 'what is a bored 18 year old gonna do on a dull day?' 18 yrs old. nsa. no. no. no. post 5 - i never said i was special, and i have secret knowledge. but now my cheap shot since you lobbed a ladyfinger toward me. you are special. for different reasons. |

uran idiot -'i personally know ...'. when one starts with this phrase, one is usually voted off the isle of legitamacy.

they are all fed employees - even though i listed
2 eg's that are armed forces - ex, usually, but the govt is all their daddies. the sign confidentialty agreements that, while technically not for life, the nsa sorta 'frowns' on whistleblowers. they have a budget larger than the cia, more employees, and much greater secrecy. yes, i know what they do. crap they don't talk about. in other words, i mostly do not know what they do. and they sure as hell don't go on abc news in the middle of 2 wars, a pres race, and economic chaos. |

Numerous ways to "work into" NSA....most all are
from the military, though some high level policy analysts and Executive Level appointees are placed with "outside" experience...take a look at a high level position here: http://jobsearch.usajobs.gov/getjob.asp... They are picky now, but three or five years ago was another story.... If you're young, with an IT or CS degree, apply to CIA first, then get a lateral into NSA... just sayin'.... |

i mostly agree, although i'm afraid to, because i'll be told i'm either a commie liberal or a military wing nut. thats what blogs are all about, i guess. i am retiring from this biz, and start reading comic books again. anyone agree beetle bailey stole from sad sack? i mean the cartoonist?

ps - thanx flyingheartdude for a little help. i never claimed to 'know' this stuff, or i was special with my knowledge. my job is observing human behaviour ( not nsa - i wouldn't pass the 'how to take a a wiz' test ) and i live ok.
but i am encouraged to keep it in the family. i unretired faster than de la hoya. w/out the 20 mill. time to tivo the simpsons. i re-retire ... KNOW! |

take out the k on my previous post, on the last word. i now retire in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, BAM!

http://blog.wired.com/27bstroke6/2008/10/kinn... The all seeing eye on your dollar bill never shuts. It has EARS too. just sayin' |
