If something looks like candy,
But tastes not-so-dandy---
You should call the poison control center!
The person that made this is a bad inventor!
It is made to freshen up the air--
Do not eat this or you will need hospital care!

very concerning that a company would not be aware of this potential with mistaken candy like wrapping -..... thank goodness the children are ok. Who on earth oversees this product and/or was this some really asinine marketing tool? If no children get seriously ill or even die it will be a miracle. Call an attorney if your child is
in any way exposed to this careless and stupid mistake.

It's probably made by ResuTech and distributed by the BOE, Williams gets a % of the sales which he shares with his girls on the Board.

Although this was made by a foreign company, far more caution should have been exercised in the packaging of this product.

How long will this product be permitted to remain on store shelves before a child dies because of it.

It is time for the CPSC to step in and yank this product bafore a child does die.

Thats what I was thinking Jim....why in God's name is it that these kids are old enough to walk to the store alone but they cant read the package? I mean dont get me wrong, the company needs to be condemned for making it appear as candy but COME ON PEOPLE, teach your kids to read at home because it is OBVIOUS the Buffalo Public School System, IS NOT!

WHAT? Are you kidding me? Call an attorney for???? To tell them your child is 10 and still can't read and they sent them to the store at 10 yrs old ALONE? Let's stop blaming the company ( oversea's or not) and let's keep an extra eye on what our kids are buying at the stores and putting in their mouths, shall WE?

They can't name the poison because the FDA has no regulatory status with regard to fragrances and cosmetics (fragrance is considered in that category). So, the industry which has around 5,000 chemicals it uses for fragranced products according to the American Academy of Dermatology (I've written articles about this) which never have to be listed on a label, all subsumed under the term,'fragrance'. So, poison control has no idea what is in it (other than it is likely a combination of petrochemicals). Breathing them in is toxic as well - One peer reviewed medical journal reported that the most common synthetic fragrance chemical is present in over 90% of the population and healthy people lose a significant degree of lung function upon inhaling it.

So, the average adult consumer is confused about fragrances and content to know nothing of their contents. Why would kids think a label should be read on a package dressed up to look like candy?

I remember when one company made their pesticide smell like bubblegum but the government balked at that bit of temptation around kids who would want to 'taste' that smell on the grass where it was applied.

Demand full disclosure of all product ingredients so you can make good choices and bad products will naturally stop flooding the market as people stop buying them. It is required in Europe so why are we denied that privilege?

We are surrounded by poisons, so is this any surprise?

Teach your children the difference between something that smells sweet, and something that is edible.

Thank you. Anyone who would like the list of references for the facts cited in the article can write and request them. They are all from standard governmental and medical sources.

These things are no longer a 'mystery'.

You know that there are a lot of countries that don't like us, but yet we buy products from them. With all of the laws on the books that are to keep us safe, with some of them are nothing more than revenue makers, but they get passed without a blink of an eye, but when it comes to something that is really important to our safety, they take their time and argue why it is needed. And with N.A.F.T.A. which makes things worse, the door is open wider then it has been. Good example is the lead paint in Fisher Price (FP) toys from China… FP is STILL sending things over there to make for them. So the question is, how long before a product made out of this country makes its way here and becomes a health issue?

As for these “Fruit Bombs”, and making it look like something that a child would want, the manufactures of such products should be banned to sell any of their products here in the US or Canada. No questions or second chance as the problem product is proof enough. And along with that any distributor that sells these types of products should be banned also. No second chance. The distributors must make sure that the products that their selling to the stores is safe and not misleading to the general public and children.

The children of today are our future and we need to protect them the best we can. If the US wants to play the N.A.F.T.A. game, our government had better take responsibility to insure a safe product.

Sorry but this makes me so mad that I could go on and on. But I think I got my point across.
