what about looking at the adults on the bus, who were responceable for the students behaviour?
as for the accused I say "Give them no Judical quarter, why should they get special consideration? slapping them on the hand will serve as no deterrant to future abberant behavior
in students.- just like Crystal Barton & Williams
the Educational system is becoming a mockery-a Joke. where dose the responcability begin? it's really a pityable situation in my book.-the buck has to stop somewhere.

Send the varsity players on a bus trip with some inmates. An eye for an eye.

What should happen now....the judge in this case, the prosecuter and all the lawyers involved, take a little bus trip with the baseball team! Trouble is , half of them would probably enjoy it. Why do we have laws? Lets just let everyone do whatever they want, to whoever they want, anytime they want. The strong survive!

All this concern for the perpetrators of these viscious crimes seems a bit misplaced; what about what the victims of these boys are going to have to go through for the rest of their lives?
The victims didn't ask for what happened to them!!!
This is not a time for the justice system in Niagara County to go wobbly and let these criminals off easy.
I hope the victims sue the hell out of the Wilson Central School District.
I am with you 100% on this one! There is no lesson to be learned by letting them off easy. If my child was a victim you can be d@mn sure I would be suing the families of these boys.

If in fact sexual abuse took place and the victims were examined by their physicians, the abuse would be evident and used to support the charges. End of story. However, the D.A.'s office has instead downgraded the charges to "More accurately reflect the facts as they now believe" which clearly states that there is no such evidence.

I have not read anywhere where the parents of the victims are suing. However, if they choose to sue, good luck to them. People all the time think they can buy their way out of situations; or they know someone who knows someone, etc., etc. To the parents of the accusers - Give me a break, you're kid hurt someone else. These boys need to stand up to the plate and take their punishment like a man instead of hiding behind their parents skirts like little boys. They were far from little boys when they sodomized and abused those other students. I wish they had the proof they need to prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.

Kate... come on now. The notice of claim to sue was filed three weeks ago. Also, the charges of what you say "SODOMY," were dropped because it never happened.

Couldn't be proven, there's a B-I-G difference there.

Sorry, I don't get the paper everyday so I must have missed where they filed suit. Frankly, I am behind them as everyone can see how this is already turning out. Pity the poor accusers and lets forget about the victims and what happened to them. And Napster, you are absolutely right, because it could not be proven there is a BIG difference. Why would anyone make up something like that? If anything, these boys are ashamed to admit it happened to them.

Think about it......would you tell your parents and other adults that someone stuck a pencil and cell phone antenna up your asss just for attention?!

I was the little fat kid that was picked on by bullies and had teachers that just watched.

In my opinion, this is an expression of frustration. Not saying it is alright.

Well, just as it could not be proven that O.J. Simpson murdered Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, "beyond a reasonable doubt" in a criminal court, it certainly was different in the civil court lawsuit. O.J. Simpson was sued for wrongful death and he lost in a civil court, because the burden of proof in a civil case is the much lower standard of being found "liable by a preponderance of the evidence." It is highly likely that people, and institutions, will be sued and will lose in the inevitable civil lawsuit involving the hazing/sexual abuse case in Wilson!!!

And this is why I believe after the system fails the victims, the adults on that bus should be sued to the point of never recovering. SEND THEM TO THE POOR HOUSE.
