I agree. BPD detectives have a terrible rate for clearing serious crimes. It has always been that way.

The B P D will always look for gunmen . It gives something to do besides sitting in TIM HORTON'S drinking java.

Again he displays his ignorance. The Buffalo Police Department uses civil service tests to appoint Police Officers, Detectives, Detective Sargeants, Lieutenants, Captains, and Inspectors. Only Chiefs, Deputy Police Commissioners, and the Police Commissioner are political appointees.

So, these promotions and/or assignments are made purely on the results of the written exam, or are they manipulated with "assesment centers", "oral boards", "rule of three","whole points from the Commissioner, etc?

The BPD doesn't investigate black on black crime per the recommendation of the Department of Justice.

Civil service test results are being altered to allow political hack families to enter government through the back drawers...been going on in all state emploment for years...check out all the families that work in large groups in government buildings.
Politics in NY state are killing all jobs, but they have selected government jobs to be the most invaded...hate what is happening....chase down and out all politicians...none are any good anymore and corruption is their daily prayer!
