Amherst woman faces judge

You can't believe everything that you see on the news or that is written in the paper. I was in court yesterday and heard everything and so did that reporter because she was sitting in front of me. Those kids are at home and were never hurt. She don't even have a record or police history. Even the judge sounded like he thinks the case is **** and tried to move it along. There's no reason for the news not to have the story right. Some of the cases I heard would trip anyone out, and I don't remember any of them on the news. I know the reporter has to eat, but why can't she eat off of the truth.

The police have the amount of time she spent in the store from video records..45 mins in the hot sun...not winter! It registered 106 degrees in that car and the kids were sweating ad crying!
I don't know you, but you are as bad as she is!
Would you do that to your kids, or better yet, your dog?
She is wrong and needs to be punished..whether she is black or white.
If someone I knew did this...I would advise she check herself into a mental facility. Those kids could have died.
Your depiction of the court setting and reporter is a farce and you saw what you wanted to see..it did not happen that way...I was there also!

This lady isn't nearly the first person ever to make this mistake. Heck, she's not even the first or last person this year. I even think I remember that some lady in South Buffalo's kid died the day after they starting blasting this case in the media and she had no charges. I doubt she was passively trying to kill her kids. People make mistakes, at least she got hers back. It could have been worse, but it's not.

First of all brighty, just because someone else has committed the same crime, doesn' make it ok to do it yourself...poor logic and defective thinking!
Secondly, the fact that she got them back safely..only keeps her out of a long jail term!
Then...how does someone not KNOW that there are four young kids, and I am sure fussy kids in the car. The people you speak of left one sleeping, quiet child in the back seat...wayyyyyyy different than the four sitting all over the car..remember...car seats!
Go back and examine the law and your conscience....leaving one quiet or sleeping one in the back seat is not this incident...she meant to do it and deserves to be punished.

I stand by what I said and it happened exactly that way. All you're doing is repeating what the news reported. I didn't even hear any of that in the court room. It makes me wonder if you were there at all. Hmmm. Good luck Amherst lady. You looked remorsful to me, and I don't know you-but atleast I can admit that.

How about the mother in Arcade who left her baby in the hot car ALL DAY while she went to work, because she "forgot" to take the baby to daycare?
She wasn't charged because she didn't mean to do it (I can't imagine forgetting to do that) but in this particular case, the mother left them in the car, knowing what she was doing. She should be charged with the max.

Husband a doctor? High on samples? Something is really wrong. Drug screen!

I never said that the above happened in cout, but was an opinion of what I know fom the legal business I am in!
What happened in court was a typical adjournment poceeding and not a plea or sentencing...so the reporter and you actually saw nothing noteworthy!
I stand by the law and my comments and you should really read, when you are not in court..it helps to expand the mind!

I stated that she left those kids in the car on purpose and that I mean!
