Here's a Republican/Democrat illustration.
Palin has a daughter who created (and may give birth to) a baby out of wedlock. Democrats are having a field day with that information. Obama is illigitimate (or was created out of wedlock). Can anyone spell DOUBLE STANDARD? |
|
Republicans repeat themselves incessantly, so don't mind me talking to you again.
I'm just so impressed that I can talk for myself. I am speaking for myself for the first time. I fired my writers to avoid wasteful govt. spending. Government needs to stop wasteful spending. We need the tax dollars for the war. I even sold a gov. plane on Ebay. to avoid wasteful spending and fired my chef. See, we can all make sacrifices for the greater good. Senator McCain suffered for years as a POW in Vietnam. He gave his life for his country. It's time for the American people to stand up for their country and be willing to suffer, as Senator McCain did, even if it means torture. We need to fight wars to defend our honor. Russia is getting a bit too feisty lately, and we need to put them in their place too. I promise that the Maverick and the Moosekiller will fight every war that we can to use your tax dollars well and assert our authority around the world. My son is off to Iraq and I am proud of him. All people should enlist in the armed forces and fight the war in Iraq or any other war we decide to start. Other countries will bow to our every command. God has given us this task. Murder is the price of freedom. We need our tax dollars for the war and to drill for oil in Alaska. We know about the environment, but we must drill for oil in Alaska. We don't want to be dependent on foreign oil we only want to make profit on American oil. We want to boost our economy by giving more tax cuts to the rich so that the poor have more jobs and can pay the most taxes to fund the rich businesses and the wars we plan to start. We don't need to worry about global warming. That is just a fairy tale made up by those democratic liberals who like to be community organizers. When I was mayor, I was a community organizer with a purpose. Not only was I a hockey mom, but I taught family values to my children by pursuing my career and showing them the value of hard work over family time. Anyone who is raped or a victim of incest, should not have an abortion. This is God's will for you and you should be willing to accept God's will. My 17 year old daughter will marry the father of her baby whether she likes it or not and will have to grow up fast. I told her to abstain and she didn't. Now she must accept her role in life. I am a bulldog with lipstick, so, middle class and poor people, don't mess with our tax dollars anymore. Govt. needs to be smaller. Let's privatize social security, health insurance and even have parents pay for their children's education by giving them more choices where to send their kids instead of providing funding to the schools. Let's close more hospitals and make affording a home a thing of the past. The rich in America need more cheap laborers and it's time to keep the middle class and poor in their place by not wasting govt. dollars to improve their lives in any way. We will keep open markets so that the American worker can compete for jobs with the cheap laborers overseas. I also believe that animals should be hunted and killed regularly just for sport. They don't feel pain and if they do, Senator McCain gave his life for his country, let them do the same. Vegetarians and environmentalists make me sick. I keep the animial population under control. Senator McCain and I will keep America under control. The Republican Way. Vote for Senator McCain. George Bush will. Be the second in line to vote. A free tube of lipstick and a gun to the first 1000 voters. |

RE: Politically Correct & Comments
What was posted here are the SAME (for the most part) statements I've been hearing about her, although I don't think that the Obama/Biden ticket offers anything better. This election really has me perplexed. I still haven't determined which two are the "LESSER" of the evils. |
|
The joke obviously went over your head... |
|
Poor health, really? Where did you get that from? Palin seems to be a "real" person as opposed to a man who thinks he is elitest (along with his wife). She understands the "blue collar world", and faces the same problems in every day life as the rest of us...and isn't afraid to hide the imperfections in her life. Obviously both tickets have a person with less experience on them - I'd rather have the lesser experience on the VP side than as the President himself. And in reality, her experience adds up to a lot more than Obama's! Do some reading on your own instead of just following what the liberal media has to say. You can learn a lot that way. As for the baby, I think that this woman is perfectly capable of doing the job well AND giving Trig the attention he needs from his mother. I mean, he does have a daddy who is perfectly capable of taking care of him as well! |
|
What? She was very well spoken! |
|
I understand gator perfectly! Re-read your post... |

How about NAFTA as the reason jobs are leaving this country? That was signed during Clinton's "brilliant" 8 years. How about the terrorists of 9/11? They came in and out of this country planning their attack for at least 5 years - all during Clinton's "brilliant" 8 years. Let's not place blame on just the Republicans - they ALL have plenty of blame to share in the problems we have today. As for the Katrina victims - I feel bad for what they went through. I have relatives that live there and went through it. But as I told them, they should have left when they were told to! They have to be willing to help THEMSELVES and not just look for handouts. The LOCAL leaders there failed the people more than anyone else during Katrina. The city never should have been built below sea level to begin with! It's just going to be deja vous down there - year after year, either the threat of hurricanes or the actual hits of hurricanes. Like people tell us in Buffalo, if you don't like the snow, move! Thanks, I'd rather have my snow, it doesn't do as much destruction. |

Let me help. You only need this one reason: 1. Out of Iraq: In 16 months with Obama instead of staying indefinitely with McCain. As one with a boy of legal fighting age, I am pretty sure this one issue is the "deal-killer" for me. This whole war thing with the senseless killing should mean something to you as well. If you are not outraged, you have not been paying attention. But wait, here's some more: 2. The economy. We *are* in a Recesssion, only no one will say the "word" until after the election. Who might be better to remedy the situation? Republicans have reigned over the destruction of the biggest economic growth of the last century through their self-serving policies and stifling middle class inititiatives. Every time oil goes up, your President gets richer. Follow the money trail, get informed. To me, anything other than what brought us the last 8 years is the lesser of two evils. |

Let's take your points one at a time. 1. The books she tried banning were pornography associated with children. 2. Her Pastor is no comparison to Rev Wright. 3.There is nothing wrong with praying for things you would like to see happen except if you are a liberal. 4.She had her chance to push secession when she became Gov. and she didn't. 5. Now you are comparing Obama to Jesus, MLK, and Ghandi, where does it stop??? Wasn't the Roman Temple enough??? 6.At least she doesn't prescribe to the killing of unborn children by sucking the brains out of their heads. Wolves happen to be a problem in Alaska much like the deer in Amherst. |
Where is that info coming from. Bill Clinton! Double standard apply?? |
|
I don't believe the wedlock thing is the issue, the girl is 17 years old. That is more the issue to me. Jamie Lynn Spears gets pregnant at 16 and is a bad influence and people criticize her as a role model for kids. What about a Vice President's parenting if her child is pregnant at 17? Is a Vice President not as much of a role model as Jamie Lynn? |
|

Having children in your fourties is irresponsible, she knew that, and brought a down child into the world anyway. She should have used the brain god gave her.

The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen, has said on numerous occasions he favors a diplomatic approach in dealing with Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons. Americans' are in general agreement. A Gallup poll reported on June 2,2008 that about 6 in 10 Americans think it would be a good idea for the president of the United States to meet with the president of Iran -- a position Obama has espoused and McCain has roundly criticized.
I am afraid to hear what Palin wants to do.. She comes off to me as Gung Ho!! |

Many of us find ourselves deciding who we want to elect partly on whether a candidate running for office is believable. There are two forms of believability in politics today. One is we believe that a politicians positions on issues are genuine and therefore we will vote for a like minded candidate. I find these elected official to be primarily conservative. There are also people who vote for candidates that sound believable. There is a difference. These people understand that their elected official is taking a position he/she does not really believe in, but by taking that position they can achieve their hidden agendas. These elected official more times than not are liberal.
Often I hear my few, and far between, liberal acquaintances comment how smart some politician or person is. This is basically code for he/she is a liberal like me and they can make a wagon full of manure seem like your getting a barrel of honey. To liberals its not the content of someones character that's important, its how smart someone sounds to accomplish the same immoral, lazy, and self serving agenda. This is exactly why many liberals attack President Bush in the manner of how he speaks. To emphasize their displeasure in his policies they mock his poor ability to articulate rather than debate the content of his policies. Its amazing! Yea right, George Bush, the man who was elected twice to the highest and most powerful office in the world, and prior to that he was qualified to fly one of the most sophisticated aircraft beyond the speed of sound, that was after graduating from Yale and then getting his MBA from Hardvard; yea, he's an idiot. Don't get me wrong, there are some bad apples that are in the conservative arena. There're usually just plain crooks, and yes they are usually pretty stupid. Most times than not a conservative community can weed them out. The difference is, when they get caught, they usually don't try and convince everyone that the wad of bills in there hand (or freezer) was for selling that barrel of honey. They suck it up and do their time. Hopefully they learn their lesson and become a useful part of society. I'd believe a reformed conservative any day over a life long liberal.(Posted on Realvoter.com ) |

Notice how the GOP spins that Palin tried to fire a librarian because the library had "child pornography". All of the articles I've seen stated "objectionable language" was the real reason. Plain is definitely catering to the non live and let live fundamentalist/censorship crowd(the same idiots who try to ban "Catcher in the Rye", "To kill a Mockingbird" and works by Maya Angelou to name a few). These aren't liberals, moderates, reasonable conservatives with a libertarian streak or even libertarians(I respect them even when I don't agree with them-they believe in the 1st amendment too). It was good that the librarian held her ground(as any ALA member should) against such barbarous zealots. |

Rock 612, I wonder if your tune would be the same if Sarah Palin was a Democrat. I suspect you would be lavishing praise on a Democrat female VP candidate in the exact same circumstance. With regard to the fact that Obama graduated with honors from Harvard, I'm not particularly impressed. A Harvard degree is similar to a Rolex watch, expensive but not remarkably different than a Casio timepiece. I've met up with the Harvard crowd many times....they tend to rely on their degree brand rather than their efforts. It doesn't matter where a person gets educated...it's what they do with that education afterward. I'm impressed with her conservative credentials and the fact that she busted into Republican party politics in Alaska which we all know was a corrupt old boys club. She took them on and beat them at her own game. You have have the Harvard grad....I'll take Palin. The Commie |

tjpjwe, The Vice President is not a role model. She's a manager. The last time I checked teen age girls are not trying to imitate the Governor of Alaska but are trying to imitate Jamie Lynn. I don't see teen age girls desiring to hear what the Governor of Alaska has to say but they do care what Jamie Lynn has to say. The Commie |

so ... that makes it ok to elect an adulterer for president just because he's republican? used to be that the person you'd elect was expected to be an example you could actually tell your children about. At least Obama is not an adulterer |
