Locals on Palin's speech

Palin used humor in her speech. "You know they say the difference between a hockey mom and a pit-bull? Lipstick!" Republicans hoped the speech would allow potential voters to get to know the Governor, who until ...

Sarah Palin is a real person, exactly what this country needs, not just another talking head! Give a busy person a job to do and they will get it done. Mothers can accomplish more in one day than a handful of politicians can while in session

What a joke!! That woman is no more qualified to be prez than the major of Southfield. Her experience is being gov of a 700K populated state and major of a 6500 populated city. A second place finish in a beauty contest and a degree from Idaho. I hear people say that Obama has no experience but he graduated with honors from Harvard Law and is a senator from Ill which more folks than in AZ where McCain(--Keating 5---0is from. Besides McCain is old and in poor health so his VP could be our Prez. This babe--though hot--is not ready for prime time. She needs to care for her Down's Syndrome infant and new grandchild on the way.

Who is she trying to kid. They've been in the White House 16 of the last 24 years...they are the reason we're where we are today. Jobs leaving the country....4 dollar a gallon gasoline...rampent crime, give me a break. People from Katrina haven't been helped yet, thats something to be proud of.
And I remember in the late 60's and early 70's, our people came back from 'Nam...they were spit on, called baby killers...now all of a sudden, this guy McCain is a hero?
Anything happens to McCain...she becomes President...God save us all!!!!

I am speaking for myself for the first time.
I fired my writers to avoid wasteful govt. spending.

Government needs to stop wasteful spending.
We need the tax dollars for the war.
I even sold a gov. plane on Ebay. to avoid wasteful spending and fired my chef.

See, we can all make sacrifices for the greater good. Senator McCain suffered for years as a POW in Vietnam. He gave his life for his country.

It's time for the American people to stand up for their country and be willing to suffer, as Senator McCain did, even if it means torture.

We need to fight wars to defend our honor. Russia is getting a bit too feisty lately, and we need to put them in their place too.

I promise that the Maverick and the Moosekiller will fight every war that we can to use your tax dollars well and assert our authority around the world.

My son is off to Iraq and I am proud of him.
All people should enlist in the armed forces and fight the war in Iraq or any other war we decide to start. Other countries will bow to our every command. God has given us this task. Murder is the price of freedom.

We need our tax dollars for the war and to drill for oil in Alaska. We know about the environment, but we must drill for oil in Alaska.
We don't want to be dependent on foreign oil we only want to make profit on American oil.

We want to boost our economy by giving more tax cuts to the rich so that the poor have more jobs and can pay the most taxes to fund the rich businesses and the wars we plan to start.

We don't need to worry about global warming. That is just a fairy tale made up by those democratic liberals who like to be community organizers.

When I was mayor, I was a community organizer with a purpose.

Not only was I a hockey mom, but I taught family values to my children by pursuing my career and showing them the value of hard work over family time.

I am a bulldog with lipstick, so, middle class and poor people, don't mess with our tax dollars anymore.

Govt. needs to be smaller.

Let's privatize social security, health insurance and even have parents pay for their children's education by giving them more choices where to send their kids instead of providing funding to the schools.

Let's close more hospitals and make affording a home a thing of the past.

The rich in America need more cheap laborers and it's time to keep the middle class and poor in their place by not wasting govt. dollars to improve their lives in any way.

We will keep open markets so that the American worker can compete for jobs with the cheap laborers overseas.

I also believe that animals should be hunted and killed regularly just for sport. They don't feel pain and if they do, Senator McCain gave his life for his country, let them do the same.

Vegetarians and environmentalists make me sick.
I keep the animial population under control.
Senator McCain and I will keep America under control. The Republican Way.

Dont' vote for Beachball, vote for Senator McCain.

A free tube of lipstick and a gun to the first 1000 voters.

I love her. She will make a perfect vice-president and if anything happens to John McCain (God forbid) she'll make a great President. While all the insults to John McCain and Sarah Palin are flying, the common sense faction of our great nation is quietly waiting to go to the polls in November. We'll see where all the insults got those that cannot keep a civil tongue in their head and continue to show their ignorance in daily rants on the internet.

How about McCain coming home from the war only to cheat on his ill wife. What a hero!
Heard Cindy wore a 300,000 outfit the other night. McCain must have been seeing dollar signs when he met her. She is pretty and I give her good marks for adopting a baby from Bangledesh who has a great life now.

Here folks, chew on this for a bit:

Some of the things I've learned about Sarah Palin:

1. She tried to ban books from her local library and tried to get the librarian fired because she wouldn't go along.

2. She belongs to a fundamentalist church with a pastor who makes Jerry Falwell seem broad minded. For example, he says as does Palin that Iraq is God's mission for Christianity, that Alaska needs to get ready to be a place of refuge for the apocalypse and "end days" which are gloriously coming after this war between Islam and Christians, and that Jesus was a "warrior" not all peace and love.

3. Palin prayed to God literally and publicly for her pet pipeline project to be approved. Along these lines, Palin has been a HUGE supporter of earmark projects and also initially supported the Bridge to Nowhere, despite the false rhetoric about her standing up to these projects.

4. Palin is linked to a group in Alaska called Alaska First which supports secession of Alaska from the US. How is that for loyalty to the US?

5. She ridicules community organizers (weren't Jesus, Martin Luther King and Ghandi community organizers?) saying a podunk town mayor does more of importance.

6. She not only shoots caribou and moose, bad enough in my opinion as I do not understand killing for sport, but she also shoots wolves --from helicopters--very sportsmanlike! Just sick.

Nice stuff, eh? Don't blame me when McCain bumps and this nut job takes over.
