The difference between UB and Buff State is simple. UB has tens of thousands of of classes each with 300+ students. Buff state offers 500 classes with 25+ students in each. It's an old debate...lecture hall with a teacher's assistant versus specialized/attnention driven learning where class participation is needed to pass.
And as for crime and violence, OBVIOUSLY there are more police calls and incidents at UB (as compared to Buff State). I say obviosuly because there are 10 times the amount of students.

First of all, you don't know waht addredidation means because you used it in the completely wrong context. Second, I challenge you to tell me exactly what organization or publication has them ranked in the top ten of anything other than crime statistics. There are several extremely selective and renowned institutions in the SUNY System and Buffalo State is not one of them.
