Double stabbing in Buffalo

jThe Lovejoy neighborhood has been neglected in its programs and its lack of attention by local officials is the problem. This area has been neglected in the way of financial investment and assistance to struggling businesses. Housing issues now cause concern because dumps have never been properly addressed and sit attracting bums and low life. Not for lack of local volunteers, but for lack of money and investment in the Lovejoy strip infrastructure. It looks terrible. Where is the leadership? They need a police officer who regularly walks the beat in that neighborhood. An oz of prevention is worth a pound of cure!

Let's face it, not one person called the police after hears 2 gun shots. The only way police found out was from a camera on Gold and Lovejoy. It's time for the people of Lovejoy to take their neighborhood back, the right way. Call police, complain to your councilman or elect a new one. When are the leaders from this once great neighborhood

Wow kingsmen, the only locals who weren't trading bullets blades and blows at Lancaster back in the 90's... I guess everyone still gets their 15 minutes of fame no matter who they are.

Look, all I'm saying is that at some point they either need to lay down or stand up. That kid comes from a good family and is one of the few who decided to stay there and yet he ended up getting shot and stabbed. One of them is missing a bunch of teeth and a few more are probably just waking up...

Lovejoyboy, nobody will care if you nocked out a biker or if you got "heart" in six months. Time for eveyone to grow up. You have no one to blame but yourself.

im sure he could care less what you think , he was defending himself , and get your facts straight , he knocked out 4 of the 8 kingsmen , yes 4 of them were sleeping on lovejoy st., and the guy who stabbed him was still sleeping when he got to ecmc. i guess the kingsmen didnt realize they were picking a fight with one of the toughest guys from the neighborhood . hope you guys enjoy your beers , from a straw !!

I don't know the reason for fight and frankly neither do I care. I am a parent of a four year old, a teacher in the city and I just bought a house in the neighborhood. As a rule, most of us teachers have to live in the city to work here and i often here people complain that there aren't many good teachers in the city. Well no wonder! Why would I want to stay in neighborhoods that have stabbings and shootings? Why would anyone? I love this city and I love this neighborhood but violence is not the answer. Hasn't anyone ever read a history book? Violence does not work. It is usually reserved for neandrethals and well I hate to say it... but uneducated and unintelligent people that haven't the brain capacity to think of a better way to solve their problems. I am sorry for the people who got injured and their families, my heart goes out to them. As for the people that started it maybe you should go back to school or pick up a book and start educating yourself because there are far more effective ways to get what you want out of others besides intimidation. Excessive and prolonged violence will only come back to get you and will eventually cause this area to be a place that you won't even want to be in.

According to all of the PR that the Kingsmen put out when they opened their Club House,they are all hard working, educated men with families. I'm sure some of them are and some are NOT. A small few in any group will always ruin it for everyone else. My advice, like they tell everyone else, go back to where you came from... I heard the Eggert Club house is still empty

that is the Chosen Few, they have shown alot of respect for the neighbors and the area. It's the other club house between Davet and Gold that the trouble and noise come from...
