Buffalo school superintendent in running for position in Memphis

Last I checked the Buffalo Public School is a free-will employer. If he was approached or has applied for the position he is entitled to do so, regardless of how much time he has left on his contract. I feel he has served the interst well during he tenure. When he came into office he was scrutinized for how he approached issues of the school system, labeled as having an attitude. In my opinion, had he been a caucasin male and attacked the issues similarly he would have been labled as a take charge, tackle the issues head on tyoe guy. The Buffalo area being as "culturally biased" as it is, was not ready for a man of his stature.

We can only hope.What suprises me is why would someone else would even want to hire him.Check his record before coming to Buffalo and his record while in Buffalo.He does a lot of nothing but gets paid astronomical.I guess you can't call him stupid, just self serving.

Obviously you are a racist. His performance as a superintendent has nothing to do with the color of his skin. He has done nothing good for the Buffalo Public Schools. He has missed deadlines for grants on numerous occasions and passes the blame on either the school board or his employees. He has turned a blind eye to unethical and illegal practices within schools and then claims ignorance when there is proof he has been notified. That is not a man of integrity or great stature. If he was Caucasian he would have the same scrutiny as any other color person. A great leader fesses up to the mistakes they make and take steps to correct them, not lay blame elsewhere. I personally hope he leaves the Buffalo area and a more qualified person is hired, regardless if they are black, white, purple, green or yellow!

The guy is a job hopper...let him hop to Memphis and become their problem.

James Williams was and is a disgrace to our school system.

Next time, hire a well qualified white.

I hope it is a one way ticket....he is no good for the kids of Buffalo...he is only looking out for himsef....Bet he won't last in Memphis long when they find out what he is really like....

He can take the trip but if it's on working days, don't let him be paid because he's not doing the job for what he was hired. And By no means pay him for any travel expenses.........

I said 6 months ago that he'll be gone in due time..job hopper is right. I hope Buffalo recommended him highly!
