The line is full of false info . The wind farms are about 50 miles east of BUFFALO & they dont interfere with the weather . Its just another topic to rile the people ,but some will belive anything the news says. And where does this info come from? No where has there been any notice of a study. JUST BULL SCHIT.

Guess what? You're dead wrong. That HAS been a study. http://www.erh.noaa.gov/buf/windfarm.htm |

For one thing the weather service knows where these windmills are and that they don't move. And doesn't most of our weather come out of the west? west, south west, north west, Arn't these windmills your talking about EAST of here? and like I said the weather service knows where they are and that they don't move. OH and one more thing isn't lake erie west of here? So if there is a storm comming in from the west over lake erie the weather service shouldn't have too much trouble detecting it. And what is going to happen when they put the ones up in the Forestville area? Now, they, will be south and west of Buffalo and could have an effect. Have a nice night. |

Read the link. There can be confusion when severe storms are over the areas in which there's interference. That's why the NWS put up the link. The interference could result in a delayed severe tstorm or tornado warning until the storm moves out of the interence, since the interference actually presents itself as high velocity wind under some conditions. |

AS TBIRD says & I said THE wind farms are east of BUFFALO area & the weather comes from west , north west , south west , & the lake is west of the radar. The N W knows where the wind farms are. I think the NWS just wants something to complain about. It seems odd the NWS tells us what is next but sometimes they are right , but most times they are wrong.SUNNY tomorrow . get the rain coat out . lol. |

Another scientifically literate poster. This problem is happening in many locations around the country. Obviously, a couple of you are too lazy to read the link, or are just to dense to understand it. Pathetic. |

Hey dummy! On June 2, 1998, we had an F2 tornado develop right at the edge of where the wind turbine interference is today. Had those turbine farms been there back then, the tornado would not have been identified for another 6 minutes, at which time it would have done its damage and been gone. That's instead of the timely warning which was issued by the NWS based on doppler radar velocity data which would have been invisible at a crucial moment.
I love when people post on here as if they know what they're talking about, and it turns out they're clueless. |
