Mighty closes too early, people go to steak out
I moved out of Buffalo in 1981
I remember when people would line up at the Hertel location when it was just a window with two small booths. I was never into waiting in line (or marijusana for that matter), but I would see people lined up on the sidealk until 5 am. I always waited until the next afternoon to get my meat and cheese burritos for breakfast

It sickens me that Marijuana is still illegal! When are people going to stand-up and tell their reps of the state and federal government to make it legal? It's time that we the people make a stand on this issue. We are spending billions of tax payer money on trying to catch people who smoke pot. MARIJUANA HAS NEVER HURT ANYONE! The reason why law enforcement wants pot illegal is so they have a budget every year. Seizers are very profitable for law enforcement.
MAKE MARIJUANA LEGAL!
P.S. The pharmaceutical companies do not want marijuana legal because they do not want to compete with it.
Your thoughts are a perfect example of how this stuff messes with your mind. I bet you think Obama will make a good pres too. I don't know about legalizing it, but I do know it doesn't make you very smart. Smoke all you want just stay out from behind a wheel and a voting booth.

If pot is so bad then why are the only people willing to coach little league sports in my kid's school potheads? No one else wants anything to do with family styled get-togethers. Thanks potheads!! My kid wouldn't be playing soccer this summer if it weren't for you!!

If pot were so bad, then why do physicians prescribe it?

If pot were so bad, then why don't we hear about car accidents caused by someone who was high? Yeah, pot might be found on the person after they are pulled over and found to be drunk. Nothing is ever mentioned that people were driving recklessly because they were stoned....and only stoned.

Let's face it. The only reason pot is illegal is because the government wouldn't be able to control and tax it. It's too easy to grow here. I have never in my life heard someone dying from smoking too much pot. Let's count how many people alcohol kills, yet the gov't keeps that legal.

I agree, there are some low life smokers who live up to the stereotype of being 40some years old, sitting in their parent's basement, jobless and penniless. And there's the families of potheads who would rather blow their money on themselves and their habit rather than their kids and well-being. But doesn't alcohol do that too? and more so than pot?

The gov't feels it's ok to drown yourself in booze and neglect your family, hurt your friends, ignore your kids and not have a job because they get the money you pay for that bottle. In my experience, the most loving and happiest of families smoke pot on occasion. When a person smokes pot, they don't forget their problems(like most alcoholics seek from the bottle). It helps them realize things aren't as serious as they really were and life goes on.

So really...What's so wrong with pot?

The only thing that I fear about it ever becoming legal is that it would cost almost as much as cigarettes once the gov't takes control.

After smoking a little weed you might get pulled over for driving too cautiously.

I don't smoke marijuana, but if it were put to a vote, I would vote for legalization

I am also glad my kids don;t smoke it

I am concerned about the money the government spends trying to enforce it.

The Buffalo Police could assign 1000 cops to narcotics and people would still be easy to buy marijuana and crack.

They cant even leep drugs out of jails-how can they keep them off the street?

This will have no effect on drug traffic. The police have created a business opening, that's all. Law enforcement has been busting drugs (especially marijuana) for 70 years, with no effect! Ending marijuana prohibition is a sensible option; then we can enforce a minimum age for sale and keep it out of the hands of children, just like we do with alcohol and cigarettes.
