though I've never voted for a female, I will in this case. I like what I've heard from her.

This is a very savvy move on McCain's part; choosing Palin highlights Obama's own youth and inexperience, saying, in effect, "Obama might be qualified as someone's vice president, not President." :-)

Palin actually has more hands on executive experience, at 44 (three years younger than Obama), as Governor of Alaska, since Obama has absolutely none.

Quite frankly, I don't like McCain any more than I like Obama for President of the United States of America in 2008. I like Ron Paul(R) and Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party. Those are two great men with brains, heart, moral integrity, and the ability to lead America out of the terrible economic, international, political, and cultural problems we face in the Twenty-First Century!!!

I am afraid that if John Mcain were to have something serious that he would not be able to carry out his Presidents'y will Sarah Palin have the abilities to carry out the term with expertise.I feel that she has a lot to learn.I really hope that she does well.

I think McCain picking Palin is a great move. She will have a fresh young view for the United States and it sounds like she has an honest heart and mind and will clean up the filth and overspending in our government. And I think "SHAME" on those in the government now who so foolishly spend money on parties and whatnot, instead of the people and their needs.

Obama has even less executive experience than Palin, and he wants to be taken seriously as a presidential candidate.

At least Palin, with her two years of executive experience as Governor of Alaska, is not asking to be the President of the United States of America!!! She will have time to grow in experience as the Vice President.

I'll never vote for anyone who is "fiercly pro-life." My vote was already lost on the Republican party before this announcement, and I have no intention of switching my opinion and voting for an inexperienced, mother of five. Should she ever have to take office, I hope daddy is willing to stay home with the kiddies.

I think that McCain's choice of a woman is insulting if he thinks that the women who supported Hillary were only supporting her because she is a woman.

That is exactly why some people were supporting her and the reason some people are supporting Obama is because he is black.

I think this is one of the smartest Republican moves since the ads that were using Hillary's own words about Obama. The timing was excellent and her confidence level and intelligence appeal is obvious! Hooray for Senator McCain!
Hooray for Governor Sarah Palin!
This makes a strong fine character ticket! Character Counts!

I totally agree with your comment about the celebration for Obama parties, why isn't that $ being used to help with health care? How was the Obama trip over seas funded? If there's that much $ behind him, thinking about Oprah's statement that she "cried her eyelashes off and would do whatever necessary to get him elected".
Where's the reasoning here?

The idea that McCain is desperate enough to choose a young, beautiful woman with 5 children (one being only 5 months old), and the fact that he thinks she'll pull Hillary's supporters is hilarious! She's staunchly PRO-LIFE! Hillary's support are liberal and PRO-CHOICE! It's insulting! And she was in a councilwoman and then Mayor of a town of 6,000!!!! And only 2 yrs as Governor! And she only has a B.A. in Journalism! Obama has an incredible education, he's a lawyer who has more experience in State and Federal, and definitely has more foreign policy knowledge than she does! It's a joke! Sad.

She has more executive experience than Obama and she is the vice president candidate. And she's not a lawyer. The jokes on you!

I really liked McCain's selection of Governor Palin as his running mate. I agree with her positions on being consertative and especially her views on being pro-life. I think it is really cool that she has five kids, that shows me that she is a real human being, with the same struggles that most Americans deal with every day. And I think that it is really refreshing that she has no "experience", because that can only be a good thing, as far as the "experience" that other people in Washington seem to have.

fact is neither candidate is much to talk about unfortunately we r stuck with one or the other so ur choices r limited..at this point i will admit that i have never voted off democrated lines but obama is a joke and mccain is not much better so i am looking at vp selection well not much better so now i gotta weed through all the bs and figure out who is better to run our country for the next 4 yrs .. pretty sad it comes down to weeding through political bs .. this country needs to get a grip on reality .. maybe a women as vp wouldn't be such a bad thing men been f**king this country up for yrs can't imagine a women could do worse .. and i am a women not that it will hold any factor in my vote..
